Actually it depends on your requirements.

For e.g. if you want to work from home as well as while traveling then go with laptop and if you want to work only from your home or only from your office then go with desktop.

You will get desktop at cheaper price in compare to laptop IMO.

    DON.

In my personal experience, if you work long time daily and need to get high performance computer in cheap cost then my suggestion is, Desktop PC.

For the time being, go with Desktop,Laptop can be expensive for you. But if you cash, then go with Laptop, get a wireless router and work wherever you like.

I don't how you mean, I have been using more than 2 years old Laptop and it is still running smooth.. :D

    what model did you have?

Depends on what your doing with it really, I mean you cant lug a Desktop PC around with you can you?
If your after Portability you'll obviously want a laptop.

A nice Performance PC would be nice, Just make sure you check your budget and check the hardware in the machine to see if it can be improved upon where and if your budget allows :D

If you do not intend to carry your work around and primarily work from a single location, then go for a desktop....as you would get better configuration at a cheaper price w.r.t laptop.

Whats your budget? Do you often play games? Do you work more or play/watch/listen more? Which one? It all depends on your requirements.

If you are a hardcore user/programmer/coder like me,then go for Desktop,as you have to do more..

Laptop is also good, but Desktop is the best, since you can get your own configured Desktop with all hardcore accessories..

I have both. I use Desktop all the time, but only use Laptop, when i go for any Business tours..
So my suggestion, GO FOR DESKTOP!
    Cheers!

As has been said, it really depends on what you're doing. If you're a content creator then a laptop is obviously optimum but for designers, you'll probably want the screen space given by a laptop

Desktop will be better option for you , if you are working online only at your home . Otherwise , you should go for Laptop ,as it is easily portable .

if u r work online then may be u r sit in front of pc more then 12 hours a day. and u r not have any pc or labtop.

so my suggestion is going with desktop pc. becaz desktop is cheap and relabel against labtop.

    Screen space with a laptop?

Why not just buy a bigger screen for a desktop PC?

If you need to work on the move, obviously a laptop would be the way to go. But if you work from one location I would definitely go for a desktop, much better value for money and more easily upgradable.

You can get a better desktop configuration at the same price. But if you are looking for something portable and uninterrupted (referring to electricity), then you should go for a laptop. Personally, I prefer using a desktop at home.
