Guys, do you think Philippines is still the World's SMS Capital for the YEAR 2008. From WikiPedia(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Text_messaging#Philippines)
Got some information about it or any good source? I am looking forward to post some article about it on my blog.
I thought Malaysia is the SMS capital of the world before reading this. People using SMS everywhere here even when driving a bus full with passenger.
I think it was India or China... I don't trust Wikipedia with that source, but to think that Cellular Phone company here Offers a wide varrity of services, and trying to lower the cost of SMS, I think it is still a long shoot considering 1) Proverty 2) Population, 3) Network Coverage Problems... And yeah I only send 2-3 text message a day! so I'm not with the Average Population! Cheers!
I think the reason they call us ‘text capital of the world’ is because we started the SMS revolution!... **No basis just a thought! Cheers!
Yup! because some network already offers Wap services... I mean I know this friends who's always online on his YM and MSN... and he's just using her cellphone...
I hate text messages, rather just talk to a person or get an email. Send about 1 a week when I have to reply, mostly don't like typing on a phone keypad.
Not sure, but here in India, the mobile phone operators still charge for the undelivered text messages send during the festivals like Diwali, Dashera, Holi etc. And they say that there is a network congestion.
