Forums links and seo-juice

Why forums do not pass so much pagerank ?

People say that backlinks from inside forums pages do not pass pagerank and "seo-juice" but links from outside the forums pass.

Well ... I think one reason can be the link age from forums.

Let's say we have a forum like

    http://forums.softgroups.com

then we have a category like

    http://forums.softgroups.com/seo

then the first 20 topics will be on
    http://forums.softgroups.com/seo
and the next 20 , will be at:
    http://forums.softgroups.com/seo/page2.php
now the problem is that ...

when people post 20 new pages, the
    http://forums.softgroups.com/seo/page2.php will be
    http://forums.softgroups.com/seo/page3.php

and this is just like changing content all over the page, so threads will never get real seo because they are just changed a lot?!

It doesn't pass my juice to me, but passes ALOT of traffic as in real visitors, and i'm happy with that :)

Good points there, but I think forums couldn't give much. In more technical factor forums could be a link farm for all different and unrelated links on sigs.

how about making a forum from smf? http://forumerchant.pinoy2.com/index.php/board,2.0.html
The boards will be counting like

    /index.php/board,2.0.html
    /index.php/board,4.0.html
    /index.php/board,5.0.html

    i see if

    /v2/forums.php?action=viewtpc&susi=&tid=57684&type=send

    get good easily? why such????

yep...that's right! Just use them to market your site...and also, even if you have inner links from popular forums, it helps google to crawl your site more fast.

As long as the message URLs are static, you will get all the SEO juices.

So you mean, if it is a long URL, there is no SEO juice?

This makes sense but forum sigs pass on real visitors which for me means a lot more.

Google loves "Static Page" it means anything that comes up with .html as file extention

Google hates "Dynamic Page" it means any page that contains wild cards

Forum links pass pr as long as they aren't no follow. But I beleive that signature links are given less weight in the ranking algorithm.
