this thread is just for fun, how much do you think it would cost to put your advertisement on googles home page for a whole day?
A lot considering that you would have to pay like around 80$ every month to place your ads on a 5-6 PR. I'd say because Google is popular and is one of the most home paged sites and is not like any other ordinary web site, like around the four-five digit mark every month. You will be receiving automatic traffic basically if Google ever makes a service like that because there a millions of people who set Google as their homepage. Also if Google ever does this, I wouldn't really like having ads scattered around my home page and would change my home page to Yahoo or something.
It has been proved to be effective when placings ads in google homepage. Chrome Frenzy was there because google placed a link in their search engine homepage.
Wtf are you smoking?! $x,xxx-$xx,xxx/month? Yeah right. Times that by a gagillion(!) and then change month to day. Just so you know, both Yahoo and, say, MSN have ads on their home pages (Note that this includes external ads from publishers).
You might going to attract let say 80% of google browser to look at your site linked there, multiply by around $1 per click.
I guess it's probably a five digit number. Lol...lots of people visit the advertiser's site atleast to find out what's happening on Google's homepage.
around 100,000 visitors for each datacenter. they have 20 datacenters. 100,000 x 20 = 2.000.000 visitors a day let say you get 50% of these visitors that gonna be 1.000.000 hits a day, probably more so a fair number would be 100K for one day
Hmm nice question but what if Google start new competition for webmasters and in that competition winner will get his add for whole day on Google main webpage . Competition also take place every month . In this manner all webmasters will go mad and do anything to get that add place .
Google do not charge any for those picture stories as google logo advertising on googles home page. $0
Don't forget the server costs because you might just kill that shared hosting of yours with the kind of traffic you might receive.
