Hey guys, I am seeing significant adsense earnings down as far as ECPM and CPC. I would say close to 400% down since beginning of the week. I am seeing this across my 10 websites that i have withing the same account. I guess my question is does any one else see the same thing? Is it because of advertisers cut down their budgets for the Christmas time? Thank you Boris
I think that might be the case, advertisers are pulling back some of there marketing spending because of the economy.
sometimes it happens that your traffic stats are high but you don't get clicks, it has happened with me also but don't be stressed keep the good things going..
One thing I've learnt with Adsense is that its doesnt seem to be consistant. One day you can earn a consistant $20 - $30 and suddenly earn $3-$4 the next day . And just when you think it wont recover, its back up again. Another thought, you havent been Smartpriced have you? I have read somewhere that Smartpricing effects you whole account, not sure if thats true?
It is the holidays. This week most folks are either off work, traveling, or out shopping... Expect a slow week or two until after New Years. Unless of course you are in the e-commerce business... =)
I don't login to my Adsense account in 6 days so today I logged in and I see 700 impressions and $.36, umm
Our earnings have been down since mid November. Pageviews increase steadily while all other stats are seriously below the norm.
Here's the rundown: The first three weeks of December? Big earnings. Everyone's shopping online, the advertisers are spending extra $$$ to get the traffic, and we're reaping the benefits. The week leading up to Christmas? Everyone heads to the brick-and-mortar stores. They realize anything they order online might not get to them by Christmas day... so they have to physically buy it. Online retail stores see significantly less traffic, which slows us AdSense folk down. The week between Christmas & New Year's? Kinda busy. People come back to shopping online, especially the people who got gift cards for Christmas (which is pretty much everyone). I'd say traffic and AdSense revenue will continue to pick up from here until maybe the 3rd week of January, when all the credit card bills come in.
