I recieved my first google check last month but when i went to cash it in in the bank i was told it would cost £50 to convert into pounds or euros for my account. Is there anyway i can get round this?
wow thats a pretty hefty bank fee, shop around and see if you can get a better rate, and if you cant find the direct deposit link then email google support to help you out, maybe its not available for all country's lol
i live in gibraltar but i go to uni in england. Do you think it would be a better idea to open an account in england once im back at uni?
send a email to google support to find how you can use direct deposit. you can also opt for western union.
iv sent them an email, i get an automatted replysaying how they have improved their service with an FAQ section!
I doubt that. Paypal belongs to Ebay, a potential indirect competitor of Google. Google will be more receptive to Google Checkout than Paypal anytime.
Google won`t pay ever in paypal because they their own payments way, google checkout i think. Try the western union option. It`s working fine without extra fees.
You could try: Barclays Bank PLC Regal House 3 Queensway Gibraltar I don't have an account with them anymore, but when I did their fees were £4 for a cheque worth with a value under £100 and £9 for a cheque with a value over £100 (this was a UK mainland business account, not certain whether their Gibraltar operation has the same fee structure or not). I wouldn't be surprised at all if you could find even better tariffs if you look around.
Indian banks dont charge much. Try to open an account at Bank of India in and they will clear it to you for $5
thanks for looking but thats who i have my bank account with. im going ot try open an account when i get back to uni and ask them how much it will be.....
why dont you open an account with citibank itself? the checks are citibank checks, and if you plan to receive google checks every month, citibank would be the best for you.
