I always use keyword Meta tag.
Another tip is to put 3 times your keywords in your content in different ways, this helps the spider search engine reach for your keyword info a get you in a better ranking.

meta tags !!!!! are made for only search engine, are't it?

 

The meta keywords tag is hardly used by search engines anymore however I always think for the time it takes it is worth doing. The keyword meta description tag on the other hand is still used by search engines mainly the big 3 as most other search engines repeat/copy these search engines. It is important you make meta tags for every page different and include your keywords in these tags as well as keeping it below 160 characters.

 

In On Page Optimization meta tag is very important. and this is basic process for your website to optimization. and title, description, keyword is main and basic meta tags.

 

As said before, "can't do any harm" and besides they are important for ads.

 

It can't do any harm and it's a nice place to save your list of keywords

 

Meta Keywords are not usefull but Meta Description Tag is still having the worth to insert your main keywords

ya meta tag is implied by every web page, so by meta tag , site is confirmed abt its existence in web era, so site can set visitor area, keyword target, html types, Sends message to SE's. etc. i think its a key to put any site to its diff or distingueshed place. isnt it?

 

i always implement meta keywords, it takes all of 5 seconds and it really can't hurt, you're already taking the time to produce your own content (hopefully) so why not add them?

I have been trying to find my site listed in google for the keywords "spyware removal" upto this date not even listed in top 300,000 (or even at all)

having found that my keyword density for this term is so small, 0.35% so I've now boosted that to 3.00% but keyword density for "spyware" is 13% now

will i be able to get listed now?

It is always a good idea to fill out the keywords line. Other search engines use it .

 

Still keyword in meta tags are used by many search engine . In my case , Google is displaying the description in meta tags with their search results .

 

Meta tags are not create any harm to yours site. But Meta tags are required.
Meta Tags(Title, Description and Keywords).
Title length should be below 60 chat.
Description - between 150-200 chat.
Keywords - yours keywords.

 

Keywords are still very important to search engines, just make sure you add different keywords on each page

 

Why is it important to be different?

 

It can't hurt but it seems to me that google doesn't use them at all anymore.

If I search for a string of words fairly unique to my site, I can make myself #1 of only a small handful of search results. The minute I start to add any of my meta tags that don't appear in my page content, however, I drop out of the results entirely. That makes me think that google has not indexed my meta tags at all.
