We want to take backup of our files from ftp. Our database is of nearly 65gb. How can we take the full backup... as ftp is taking so much time... what is the other option?

Ask your hosting provider to do that. Usually there will be a full backup option with all the hosting provider in the cpanel but if you are using direct hosting then I am afraid ftp is the best option. get a better internet speed that is the only option:D

    Your database is 65 GB?

That's insane. What kind of site do you run?

Must be a big forum, with many topics/posts like DP. 65GB

FTP is fast and it saves you times when upload/download files from your host. If you says it is slow then you need a new FTP.
I usually just login to my sql database, check the options I want and download the database to my computer, I don't use any programs to help me do that.

Are you talking about a database or your sites files? If it's a database go into your cPanel and click on backups and then your database.

I would email your service provider and pay them to send it on some large media.

65GB is massive for a database.
Your hosting must cost a hell of alot.

you will need a reliable backup for such a big backup. if you are with a high reputable company i would advise you to contact them to avoid taking risks.
