Need Help For Ways of promoting a site through SEO

    Hi All DP Members,

    I am new to this SEO world. Right now i am promoting two sites. So just need help from all of you. I want to know that what are the different ways in which i can promote my sites ie both on-page and off-page optimization ?

    Pls help me out so tht i can make my sites rank well.

    hey....welcome on board to the SEO world:) let me take you through some of the off-page optimization. You can do off-page optimization by having links from relevant website and other link building activities such as
    1. Directory Submissions.
    2. Article Submissions.
    3. Press Releases.
    4. Social Bookmarking.
    5. Blog posting etc.

    This might sound greek & latin to you right now...but no worries, I was also like you when I came to this trade, but with time and thnaks to the internet i have got a grasp of it.

    On page optimization would refer to the content of the page, the URL structure etc.

    Initially I would suggest you seek professional help for optimizing your site. Do go thru the below link, the flowchart is self explanatory.

    of course it affects. Different sites have different niches and therefore different marketing strategies. You should think about where to promote so you dont waste time by reaching audience that is not relevant to that specific site...
    I believe it is better to reach smaller but relevant public, don't you think?

    Take the time to search (even old posts) and you'll find many methods that may or may not work for you, just stick in there and knuckle down with your basics like forum posting, blog commenting, keywords & tag optimization, article submission and social bookmarking submission!
