How to get 10,000 visitors a day?

Hi DP members,

I need advice how to reach about 10,000 visitors a day in 6 months term. I am creating a large portal, very niche with 20,000 pages. It will be well optimized and targeting nearly 1000 keywords each with about 100 daily searches worldwide.

Please share your suggestions and opinion .

Its hard to maintain that amount, Hitting it a few times isen't that hard. Find the ways to keep it

 

go viral and you can do it, otherwise it'll take tons and tons of links and promotion to get 10k in 6 months

 

The 20,000 pages mean nothing if their not unique.

 

strong seo is needed . Your content should be rich and unique to achieve the target .

 

Promoting like crazy will help a lot, venture out to the far and distance space on the Internet! lol but i am serious, myspace is a good place to advertise

 

If you target hot keywords and rank well in G and yahoo , It is never a problem to have 10 000 visitors a day .

 

Do all the methods that would get you some traffic then maintain it with everyday content.

 

become active in yahoo answers for your niche and making yourself reputable will leverage your traffic

 

There's so many things you can do.. but for basics.. make sure pages are optimised well and make sure links in are well optimised for keywords that are popular.

 

I AGREE WITH LOCO, if your portal has a great content, try to go viral.

that's mean build community on social media:"twitter, digg, facebook...."

However i will use all possible methods excepts PPC and come back after 6 months!

Lets say that i have try to enter in this market 6 months ago, and it was not good to be in top 10 for 10 keywords and get 100 visits a day with 5 pages website.

Now i am coming with 20,000 pages website! Social media, forum, classifieds, real estate,ets. If i succeed and i will, probably will give me turnover of $8,000 a month which is a good money for me.

Save this thread, and come back in 6 months and tell how far you have gotten without advertising.

 

If all 20K pages are inter linking with each other and you building backlinks for at least 10K of those pages than 10k visitors daily can be done. It's going to take a lot of seo work though.

Hey I beg to differ wit Loco.....I strongly believe that going viral is not a strategy.....confused???hehehehehe......well Viral is an outcome and not a strategy...i.e. in other words if your content, layout, theme etc are appealing, people would definetly promote it....

23.5 million people have watched this ad on YouTube!!!!! Pure genius....

This was not a strategy that Nike devised, they just got lucky that the video became a rage....

This was just an example to illustrate that you cannot make your campaign viral.....its the audience who promote you and make you viral....

 

u can take help from socailnetworking site it will more helpful for getting more traffic

 

this is more like 99% failure and 1 % success. It is hard to achieve those numbers.
but keep trying.
