Blog Database to big for hosting provider?

    Hi All.

When would you think you need to move a blog from hosting to a dedicated server? At what size would you think the database is too big for hosting companies to handle??

My current hosting seems to be having problems, handling one of my blogs, and I think its time for it to move onto a server, but was then shocked to discover how much they cost per month.

I do run a lot of sites on my hosting, but its seems the http://blog.lottomad.info struggles to load a lot of the time recently.

    Any thoughts?

How big is the DB? do you know that its DB related or could be caused by something running on your site maybe?

Could you not take on shared hosting for that one blog or VPS maybe?

It's hosting problem. I can tell you that your bog has a DB of 8-10MB. May be less. and that's not very big. It can be easily handled. Change your host.

    Hi

Can you recommend a hosting company that could do the job?

My current host also seems to have an issue with wordpress which means scheduled posts no longer work.

Ps how do you know how big my database is?

Check the one in my signature. They are good. Also you can go with bluehost. A bit costly though.
