URL Too Long?

I use a CJ affiliate for my landing page, so of course the keyword link is going to be long.
The question I have is if I can still use the actual URL for the space where the readers are sent, but shorten it in the ad itself.
That's how it worked in MSN and Yahoo!, but still awaiting yet another revision/review with Adwords.

Maybe google only allows the url direct to the service or product page, and dosn't allow redirect.

    Hi

I read that you have a problem with the url being too long for the Google Ad. I had a similar problem with mine and i contacted Google to be told to fill out a review form online, but they never got back to me. Luckily, i had a few other domain names (shorter ones) and i had to use one of these instead.

It will be interesting to hear how you get on?

    Paul

If I understand you correctly then you are having a problem with the URL being too long for the display portion of the URL not the destination URL section. If that is your problem then there is a simple fix.

Your display URL can be whatever you want it to be as long as it is in the same domain as the destination URL.

You specify the display URL by typing it into the "Display URL" box when creating a new ad (you are allowed 35 characters).

The Destination URL is set by typing it into the "Destination URL" box when creating a new ad (you are allowed 1024 characters).

    I hope that helps.
