India can never think of attacking Pakistan and here are reasons why

    1) Indian is one of fastest developing countries in the world while Pakistan economy is already a disaster. Attacking Pakistan will mean Indial will destroy its economy itself while Pakistan has nothing to loose

2)"War against terrorism" will stop there and all of people in northern Pakistan (Talibans who are getting killed by army operation in northern area of Pakistan) as they said in a message to Pakistan army are ready to fight against India. (NOTE: People hwo keep an eye on current affairs should already know that Pakistan has told to USA and NATO that when india will bring army on borders they will immidiatly withdraw their army from northern borders to fight against india)

    3) Because Pakistan is a nuclear power and Pakistan can't fight a long war with india so will use nuclear weapons first.

    4) Pakistani missiles can cover all borders of India (till south)

    5) USA and Nato and UK don't want Pakistan to stop in war against terrorism

We in the US appreciate everything Pakistan does to aid us in this horribly run war. (I digress off topic here for a second) War on Terror is a great idea with horrible execution. Its time to go to the end of the line and retrain, and then try again. Its a no-go at this station. We need to go with Obamas idea and stop being in it so militarily and pump the money into HUMINT. (now back on topic)

India won't attack Paki. because of this little thing called MUD (Mutually Assured Destruction) the nukes will go really quick. Packblogger, those were great points.

I said go head start a war...I'm not being pathetic, but i would like US to stay out it..If India and Paki want star a war why not..I don't want India or Paki crying out for help, give the Taliban something to focus on for the moment rather on our troops .Everytime US intervened the focus shift to us as the enemy.

Exactly, as a fight between them two should be only be between them two. We are stretched too thin as it is to try to do anything. Let them fight it out, sorry guys. We should try to keep it from happening, but if it does, sorry.

There is NO WAY USA can stay out of this war..........If Pakistan decides to take out forces from northern areas that will mean an easy access for taliban to afghanistan and read my lips if taliban come back in afghanistan there is no way america can stand there.
Moreover, it can destroy american agenda there and america can loose this war after spending billions

8000 Pakistani soldiers have died in this so-called war on terror. and trust me the international community is using Pakistan, because only they can understand the mindset of the Taliban and the likes and only Pakistanis can fight them in those areas. If India does attack, which is unlikely, USA will lose the already lost war in Afghanistan and Taliban will take over (currently Taliban has 72% control over Afghanistan) ... so India better thinnk 100 times before doing anything stupid. They kill million Pakistanis, 2 million Indians die as a result..and on and on... War will not solve anything.

Pakistan needs to withdraw from this so called war on terror and focus its energy in getting rid of outside forces within its borders. That way they can have a secure Pakistan and India would have no reason attack. Also India needs to close down her dozen or so consulates on the border of Pakistan and Afghanistan, it is causing mischief in that area and the Taliban will not be happy nor the Pakistani people.

m5 where the heck did you come up with that statistic?

Arnold, you re-read the above posts, it was talked about the US helping, not india specifically.

And more than likely if the US helps anyone it is going to be Pakistan, as they have "helped" us in the War on Terror. What has India done for us lately? And you don't think helping Pakistan defend their country would make them aid us even more? We've been looking for a GOOD friend in that area for a while now....

Pakistan is not going to be a super power anytime soon, so Pakistan doesn't have much to lose. But on the other hand, if India decides to start a war, chances are it will become nuclear war very soon, and Indian dream of becoming a super power will be delayed for decades.

But I really hope both countries stay away from war, nuclear war especially .. It will not benefit anyone but terrorists.

    Funny you.

War doesn't destroy terrorists' paradise .. it rather created paradises for them.

Russian-Afghan war created terrorists' paradise in FATA, Pakistan. Post-war situations made Afghanistan a paradise itself. Attack on Iraq made it another paradise for terrorists, where thousands of civilians and soldiers are being killed.

India has every right to retaliate and should leave that option on the table. Obviously the savage terrorists coming out of pakistan don't give a damn about being "peaceful" and the notion that India should just sit idly by and "accept" the attacks like good infidels is backwards thinking. Instead, maybe it is pakistan that should "thinnk 100 times before doing anything stupid" (again). I suspect India is getting fed up with muslims crossing over into their borders and killing their people.

As for Afghanistan, the Taliban have already had their asses handed to them, just like the terrorists in Iraq. The US did on two fronts what the old Soviet Union couldn't do on just one front.

again warned that New Delhi will consider all options to protect its interest and people if Islamabad fails to keep its promises.
