Do you know any of myths whirling around regarding internet marketing or know any of myth you used to believe till you really faced or worked on it. I am gathering myths and facts about internet marketing so really appreciate your support. Thanks in advance.
Someone told me that Internet Marketing is a guaranteed way to make money online. I spent almost 4 years learning everything that I know now and found out that those who really make money are the one who are offering the so called advice.. And yes, you guessed it right.. I am talking about the ebooks being sold by clever Internet marketers..
Myth: Internet Marketing is easy, even for beginners. Fact: Internet Marketing can be simple but for only a lucky few is it easy.
Myth: Everyone can make money using the internet. Fact: Only Google is making money controlling the internet.
Myth: Anyone can make money online. Fact: Not everyone has the will or skill set needed to make money online. Myth: IM involves no work to make millions almost overnight. Fact: IM is not for lazy individuals who would rather watch tv than make money.
Whenever I see someone promoting a new ebook/ sales page / money making scheme I just google the name of it. If I see a load of results indicating that people have set up affiliate sales pages then I know that the only way people are going to recoup the initial cost are by selling it on. These schemes are little better than pyramid schemes.
Myth: it's so simple you only need to know how to copy and paste Fact: It requires work and commitment and usually You have to write a phrase or two? Seriously, you need to be willing to invest in your education and apply what You learn in order to get results!
Well, the following is basically for noobs, complete morons, and kids... MYTH: Signatures can bring you a lot of traffic and consistently make you money. FACT: Signatures are one of the worse. It brings you the bare minimum of hits. Example: 10 hits a day, if that many, is only what a kid, a complete moron would think as good. They are the ones with dead sites, and who will not be successful out there. MYTH: If you do the SEO, it is just a matter of time before you are on page 1, 2, or, maybe, 3. FACT: Just because you do the SEO does not mean you will land high. Everybody and their cousin who knows anything about SEO is also vying for those spots. Not everybody can fit there, so, this is the biggest myth. MYTH: Search engines are a great way for free traffic for making money. FACT: Since just about all who do a search are looking for free stuff, surfing out of boredom...very little if no money can be made from them. MYTH: Advertising is expensive. FACT: It doesn't have to be. The big sites of today started out advertising with less than $200 a month, and then built their advertising campaign up as time went on. MYTH: The most-talked about gurus are very good at marketing and advertising, like, for example, Seth Godin. FACT: They don't know all that much. They just know the basics. Use Compete.com to see roughly how many hits their sites get. That, for the most part tells it all. MYTH: Many, too many advertising agencys have trash traffic that will not convert. FACT: Some do, but many do not. It isn't the traffic, it's the fact that your site sucks. They clicked on your ads, which means they are interested. Or, at the very least, they are curious. You lost them with your bad-looking site. MYTH: Making money from your site is hard, and takes A LOT of time. FACT: It is hard and takes A LOT of time because people don't listen. They also want things handed to them on a silver platter, without putting in the little work that it involves. Advertising is basically the only way to make money. Practically all will not do it is because they are just too damn lazy (example, just about all will not read this post in its entirety), and, many are just too stupid; they want "free methods." MYTH: Marketing and advertising e-books are worthless. FACT: Just about all are, but not all of them. It's just that many who buy them are pretty stupid. They fall for the obvious crap sales pitch, and they buy the worthless e-books. They do this several times over, and then they think all e-books are a waste. They have only themselves, their stupidity, to blame. These are the biggest myths.
Internet marketing is not easy way to make a million bucks within a short period of time, it takes dedication insight creativity to make it top the top. E-Books are piece of shit.
Myth - "You can learn Internet Marketing using one easy program, just buy (Insert Crap Here)!" Fact - You are going to spend the next several years building a niche, working on promoting your product, and learning from your likely frequent mistakes. Get used to it now.
Interesting opinion, here, presented as "factual". Please excuse me for commenting that almost nobody I know who is making money online (including some who are making quite a decent living online) is doing any advertising at all.
I think that as long you use your common sense about marketing, you will be fine. Obviously, it takes work, SEO's are not foolproof, and it takes money to make money.
Not necessarily true, I've made money without spending a dime..except on domain and hosting of course
myth:making money online is HARD Fact: Its easy if you know the right people and dont mind learning from someone
Don't be silly. The Warrior Forum is full of members who are making a full-time living online without advertising at all, some of them almost without having websites apart from one-page review blogs for affiliate marketing and so on. There are many ways of doing this without advertising. Article marketing is just the first of many to spring to mind. Nobody's objecting to you having your opinions, provided that you're capable of acknowledging that others' opinions may be very different indeed, but it's a bit much when you start expressing them as "FACT". I'm making between $100 and $200 per day myself at the moment (that's enough to "pay the bills", isn't it?) and I've certainly never advertised. Can it possibly be that you're mistaken, I ask myself ...
