Why is everyone so general ? Gray hat, black hat and white hat can all be Long Term Plans .... maybe his long term plan is to have 100 auto content sites running on a black hat engine ? and then he plans to concentrate on the next one site - after the main site gets into strife .... and so on .... that's long term ....
i am fine with my traffic, even my PR is very low... white hat is the way to go, that's what i think..
Think long-term. What good is a short term boost if you end up on the wrong side of the big G and get penalized?
Try blackhatworld.com or seoblackhat.com. From what I've read, setting up scraper sites and throwing on some adsense seems to be the most employed technique. I don't think duplicate content (content taken from other websites) is as detectable as Google might scare us into believing; mirroring a website would be, but not borrowing text content. They just don't have the computing power to keep up with it. I'm all for trying blackhat - heck, it could be a fun experiment that, if successful, will only force Google to improve. Remember the "miserable failure" Google bomb and how hilarious that was? Besides, it's not like it's illegal or anything. And with the right automated software, it probably wouldn't even require all that much effort. In my mind, the key to avoiding the Google slap would be to appear completely organic with your off-page blackhat efforts and "original enough" with your on-page. If there is a software program out there that can do this, think of all the spammy possibilities.
No, I don't agree. I do not put up a link on my blog or my signatures in forums for SEO only. I would also like to market my blogs to get people to see what I have to say or offer (if I am selling any product. Do I not have the right to advertise my own product? Does that make me gray hate? I think not.
How's your traffic levels? Don't get too hung-up on your PR - get traffic first (see sig for free backlinks)
Go for it mate . . . just be careful. Drop me a PM if you want some friendly (and experienced) advice.
Exactly - well kind of .... you don't really need to start again, if you know you are risking your sites life span - you always have a few other sites that are ready to go .... just in case. Haha that was actually funny ....
Haha So im not using Adsense, Im in sales, competing with about 20 others in my area Right now I got my website high up there.... getting decent traffic.... but Im thinking.... its not enough, and took so much work... I was thinking of making about 10 more sites, and black hatting them up there.... and keeping the main site clean & White-Hat!!
Exactly .... just make a shit load of disposable sites, exploit them, when they're no good or have been exposed .... chuck them in the heap or resell them here .... like everyone else does.
It's not like "Black hat" is a silver bullet that makes people millions. It's just another way to work. And you'll need to work all day it anyway. Plus, depending on your personality, you might get a lump in your throat every time you login to your revenue program. "Will I be turned off?" Being a black hat is not for everyone.
Yeah, I think you just need to evaluate your goals. Short term, medium term, or long term = black, grey, white... You decide
