yeah, now thats what i call a democracy, an alleged terrorist is not even given the chance to defend hinself! While many Indians will argue that he was 'caught' from the crime scene and has confessed so he's proven guilty, but in a similar way Afzal Goroo was arrested with a lot of 'evidence' but then it was revealed that he was innocent.

No one knows whats the exact fact...Still Indian CBI is trying a lot to solve this case.. I know Indian politics is playing a major game...For example Malegam attack and Gujarat attack.. You people believe me or not ,my family has faced many problems when i was in Gujarat(i think in 2002). Due to this reason whole shifted to Europe..
Now everyone knows that BJP is the main cause for these attacks..Even remaining parties also playing same game with India people..Innocent people are killing b/w two political parties... These problems can never end in india until there is an end in politics..

There are hundreds of innocent paksitani fishermen stranded in indian jails, and we cannot rule out the possibility that he was just taken from an indian jail and forced to confess. So proving that he is from Paksitan (Although, even this has not been proved yet), doesn't make him a terrorist.

By the way, if you spend an hour in a ISI or RAW cell, i bet you'll even confess that you are the mastermind of 9/11 attacks. Still he has the right to defend himself in court!

Duh; did you even read the article? Nawaz Sharif said that the guy is from Pakistan. Oh wait; I know what you guys will come up with. May be RAW tortured Nawaz Sharif and made him 'confess' that Kasab is from Pakistan, huh? And the fact that there is a footage of this guy hanging around the hotel fully armed with his terrorist brethren doesn't prove a thing?

well, someone has to defend him in court. attacking one lawyer doesnt solve the problem. what happens
behind those jails whether in india or pakistan is alwyas contradictory and we cant comment onthat . a this moment -- we need to find a solution to fight this terrorism and for that Kasab needs to be in court.

The FBI has removed ISI from any involvement in Mumbai attacks... I wonder what the Indian media will point at to next.

    Join the dots:

    1. While FBI has maintained that Kasab is from Pak!

    2. there have been live footage released from CC cameras showing Kasab and his partner moving along the road with Guns!

3, The same kasab has been intoragetted by the FBI and scotland yard for 9 hour session each (afaik) and both maintained he is a Pak citizen!

    4. The same Kasab is from faridkot, and Dawn News had a good chat with his father!

    5. Geo Tv did a sting on his village!

    6. Nawaz Shereef has agreed he is from Pak! <- Video for the people whos spectrum of acceptable opinion does not include facts!

    7. the same Kasab has asked for legal aid from Pak

Why doesnt Pak extend legal aid???
Why doesnt Pak claim their bodies??

oh sorry for they are still convinced they are not Pak citizens!!! ... ROFL :D!!!

    M.
    EDIT:
if the 9/11 accussed were to be tried in US how many lawyers in US would go out to defend them,
if the 9//1 accussed were to stand near ground zero, would the general public just let them stand straight or would they stand in applause or ... ? (its a moral question)

Everyone has a right to defend himself in court, no matter guilty or not.

Whoever are doing it (attacking and scaring attorney) have no faith in Justice and Law, thus it makes themselves a criminal.

Defend himself ??? for god sake, he killed so many innocent people. Since he believes in islamic law, why dont we try him under it, which I think will condemn him to die of beheading.

Lol now the killer scum wants to be tried under indian law? hell try him under the law that he recognises.

Did you even read his post? I highlighted his point, in case you have missed.

By the way, the same news channels and sources (DAWN, GEO etc.) you are believing also reported that Kasab was kidnapped from Nepal by Indian agencies.

I cannot say if its true or not. But in any case, the guy should be allowed to defend himself. If he is proven guilty, hang him, behead him .. do whatever Indian law says.

Incorrect. Enemy combatants/terrorists do not have rights under our laws. It's not something that Bush did, it's been on the records since the 1800s. Previously discussed in this thread.

If he had killed so many innocent people, and if the police have sufficient evidences against him, what is the problem in going through a fair trial?

Defending in a court is a basic right, and no one can deny it.

He might be believing in anything, but the question is, what do you believe in?
If you believe in the same law he believes in then what is the difference between you and him?

He was caught in India, he is gonna face charges in India, he is being tried in India, thus he has rights to defend himself as per Indian law.

I'm pretty sure the law he believes in, says he hadn't done anything wrong. So, my dear friend, you should be routing to get him freed and awarded for his deeds. When are you gonna do that??

I believe in a life for a life. Infact for scums like him, there should be a separate law. They should not be prosecuted under IPC.
Anyway a bill has already been passed, and the circulars are with the all the HC's in India. There is a new law to deal with 9 distinct offences including what the scum did.
and the new National Investigating Agency is not far behind, which will handle these matters, and yes the punishments include capital punishment without much talks.

By the way, Why are you so supportive of terrorists ?

@Gtech seeing you after a long long time.

It is not up to you to decide.

I'm not supportive of terrorists. Do not try to put words in my mouth. I'm supportive of human rights. I'm supportive of Law. I am supportive of the fact that every human being got rights to defend itself in the court. And whoever denies it, is a criminal, have no faith in law and judiciary system and should be tried and punished for interference in justice.

I have got no problem if he is given a fair trial, found guilty and sentenced as per law, even if it is capital punishment.

If you don't like it, move to that country where no such legal system is in place, and a 16 year old girl can be sentenced to death without giving her rights to defend herself.

Lol now you are asking me to leave my country? Are you friggin nuts. Any way it is not for you to decide. I support those people who gave the lawyer crap for taking up that scum paki's case.

I bet you are not even Indian.

Oh! so you are supportive of human rights ? Why is it that we find you human rights type, always sticking your neck out for terrorists and not for the victims.

IMHO, when a person kills another person in cold blood, the perpetrator looses all aspects of humanity. And since he has lost humanity, why human rights for him.

Technically speaking, the terrorist bastard should be tried in a military court. He is a foreigner illegally entering India (i.e., no valid visa) with the intention of destroying life and property. Anyone would agree this is tantamount to waging war. So, he should be classified as an illegal combatant (not a PoW) and hence should be tried before a military tribunal. In my opinion, the verdict should be public execution.

hear, hear, bravo @contentedge, exactly my thoughts. He shouldnot have rights like us Indians. And look at the other poster he says "if found guilty of killing innocent people", seems like he thinks billions of indians are fool and do not know what happened.
