3000 Uniques a Day. Any advice?

I run a photoshop tutorial website where I get between 3000 to 4000 unique visitors a day.

Currently I'm running Adsense and it's only making me about $15/day from the clicks, because photoshop adsense ads pay very low.

I was hoping that there was some kind soul out there that would give me advice on how to take advantage of this traffic and make more than $15/day from it.

Maybe you can add some affiliate ads, for Photoshop plugins or other complimentary products?

Adding a CPM ad to your page that is compliant with AdSense might increase your earnings a bit

Use http://www.symbiotic.com to find high paying related keywords. Then create an extra page focussed around those keywords.

Start a newsletter. Even if 1% of your visitors join the newsletter, you will get 1,000 new "quality" subscribers each month. Start by sending out quality newsletters with updates on new features, tips, links to new tutes, useful advice etc. Then, after 6 months or so start slipping in adverts and find advertisers who wish to advertise to your database.

As an indication, advertisers are ready to pay around 5-10c per user (and much more) if they know the database is of quality subscribers around a tightly knit topic (true in your case). After 6 months, you could make $60 per newsletter per ad sold. You could do weekly newsletters and sell a banner ad and an ad in the middle of the newsletter (Don't overdo it though, as you want the newsletter to stay a quality resource and not cramped with ads).

    Hope this helps! Good luck!

    Thanks for the advice.

However, how is YPN going to increase my daily revenue. Do they pay more for photoshop ad clicks?

im sure its comparable to google or better. Id give it a run and see what you get. 4k a day should produce a decent number in return

i've found that YPN ads pay more, but they don't have enough advertisers, so i limit them to only a few pages on my sites.

    Hi

You can try selling your advertising space your self, there are a few good pieces of software out there that allow you to setup PPC, etc on your site or you can just put up an ad on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. There is also a website called www.adsbay.co.uk where you can auction off this space for free. I would also suggest using more than one PPC system at a time and track which one is giving you the best results, then use the best. You can also try writing some different content in your pages related to higher paying keywords (if space, layout and theme allows) then the ads will change to higher paying keywords.

    Hope some of this helps

Nikolas, that would be a good idea if it was allowed. Unfortunately, it isn't:

I don't mean to put the adsense code in a pop up.

I mean put a pop up (eg. yield manager) in every page.

i did that with a couple of my high traffic myspace sites, used valueclickmedia, and it only does 1 popup per IP every 12 hours (changeable to 24/48/etc) so it doesnt get annoying for users as they only see one popup the whole time they are on the site and you get about $3.50-$5.00 per 1000 popups shown.

    Hi,

What is the URL of this site? If www.layoutcookbook.com, then as I see you receive no more than 3000 to 4000 unique visitors per MONTH, not a day.

If your another site receives 3000 to 4000 unique visitors a day then we will be interested to work with you - we need good ad palces.
