I have used Avast, avg, norton and couple more...

I would rate Kaspersky at the best amongst all....just my opinion.

Norton is okay but its annoying how it constantly pops up reminding you to buy the software subscription. I will stick with AVG thanks

kaspersky is the best antivirus software available in the market. The new norton 2009 is faster than kaspersky , but i am still using kaspersky.
Note :check out this offer if you want a 6 month free kaspersky license .

Overall its pretty good..though you might have issues at times with some specific viruses or fixes..its also good if you compare its functionality with the resources it takes..

Well. I would take advantage in all free anti-virus software that is trusted. I just have to cope with the 40% cpu speed (because I have like 6 anti-virus installed).

ESET Nod32 all the way- never had any problems with it, loads quick and doesn't hog CPU (unlike Norton).

    Why?

I have used kaspersky for awhile and found it better then all the free ones and most of the paid ones. Price is pretty good too.

Dude symantec has never worked for me, avg does more than symantec. But I highly recommend NOD 32. That is like the best antivirus there is out there. It has detected a lot of virus on my pc and cleaned them away, really valuable software. Try it.

I was using AVG with licence for 2 years, but today i removed it, and installed kaspersky , AVG did not found any virus at all but kaspersky found me... 392 Troyans... + other Viruses, so i give it.. 1,000 Points, the best one i never tried.
