I want to get your professional views regarding Adwords Campaign Issue. I have been running different adwords campaigns on search as well as on content sites. Getting good clicks from content sites at low CPC. What are your views regarding running campaign on google adwords content sites? Recommend or not?
content network can be highly recommended but be sure to research how the content network works before diving in. The google content network is massive and can eat up a budget really quickly.
I definitely recommend, but as robertpriolo suggests, do your homework first. You might even start off hand-picking the sites you want your ads to appear on to start and make sure you have some good tracking in place. Won't do you any good to have a bunch of clicks/commissions coming in and not know what keywords are making you the money. That was key for me. Just removing some losers can double your profits.
I've never recommended the Content Network to my clients for 3 reasons: 1) Click Fraud. 2) Low Conversions. 3) Expensive CPM.
Setup a separate campaign for the content network. Bid low, test it out. It may or may not work for you. In some cases, the content network will outperform the search network. True story.
I have heard some who have converted well in the content network but personally, based on experience, I turn it off because it doesn't convert for me.
I recommend you. Usually I setup up a separate campaign for content network. Most of the time on placements. Depending on campaign goal, I keep watching the conversions. My goal could be clicks or conversions. For traffic content network could work very well, despite the fact that it has a smaller CTR.
