You can upload stray mp3s they will be placed in the misc folder.

You can upload avi, mpg, wmv, mov and they will be placed in the video folder.

You can upload zipd mp3's so if you have a folder with an entire album in it you can go into that folder zip it up so that the zip file contains the mp3s and no folders and that the name of the zip is the name of the folder you want.

The zipd mp3s cannot contain any folders of the uplaod will not work. Ill be putting in some code to strip the folders if any should be included in the uploaded zip file.

You can create a playlists on the fly :) Dynamic playlists across all albums.

Once I finalize the script I'll be making little movie files to act as tutorials to teach users how to use all the functionality included.

Im looking to sell the script for 3$ - 5$ a copy :)

Please send me your feedback :)

Online Media Console. Lets you have access to your mp3 collection from where ever you are as long as you have net access. I personally use it when I'm at work as well as the stereo at my house.

    Thanks

i like the idea but the grey to black gradients makes it look a little tacky plus i dont believe your allowed to have the full length songs on their without consent.

This app is designed to be run from your own hosting account.

Its used to catalog all of your music. The music you bought on cd and ripped to CD. You payed for it. Its not to be used to SHARE music.

Its just a way of making your music available to you anywhere you want as long as you have a net connection with high speed :)

Example: I could end up at a buddies house and not really like the music selection he/she has so long as they have the net I can access my script running on my site and play the music I enjoy :D

Yeah I know the layout looks a little tacky and im working on an admin console to allow the user to upload their own skins!

There will be a drop down included somewhere within the interface that will allow you to select the different skins you have uploaded :)

The admin console will list the dimensions for the layout images and allow the owner total control over how they want to make the layout look.

They can design their own skins in photoshop and upload each image for each piece of the app through the admin console.

Thank you so much for the feedback!

If you want to take a look at the application and see it work use the user name and password I posted above.

Im still coding up the application so it wont be launching for a little while.

When the final code drop occurs Ill make up a bunch of tutorials regarding how to use the functionality in the app and then probably position the script for sale around 3$ - 5$ one time charge.

You would then install the program into your site like you would any script that you purchase.

During the install process you will choose your own user name and password.

This script is intended to run off of your hosting server. Off of a domain name you run.

Once you have it installed you can upload all the music you want to then start using the application to its full potential.

Please feel free to let me know your thoughts ?

Will do Mystikmedia :) Im working on all sorts of code to try and finalize ASAP!

Is 3$ - 5$ to cheap ? Should I sell the script for maybe 10$ ? It is a one time charge after all. Maybe I'll release upgrades in the future for a minimal charge if the script really takes off.

Thanks Davcheong :) Im glad you like it! Im hoping it becomes a success for sure !

$10 seems reasonable to me. I would suggest making minor updates free and then charging a fee for major upgrades.

Cool I think 10$ is a good price too. And yes I agree with you 100% Ill make minor updates free and only charge for a major upgrades like a new release version etc.

I also plan on positioning this script to the tonnes of DJ's that are online. There are a bunch of online forums for ravers and djs etc i think theyd love using this script on their sites.

I have a buddy thats a DJ and he tells me he knows 100 people or so that would love the application Ive built :)

Thanks for your feedback Mystikmedia !

What happens if you upload an individual song instead of an entire album? If that is permitted, then there should be some sort of toggle to allow users to view individual song titles. Perhaps adding a second column that is sortable.

    Song Title | Album

I'd also add some sort of help documentation. While the interface is fairly easy to use, its always helpful to include instructions on how to properly use all the features.

Might want to consider adding the ability to store login info into a cookie (Remember me), as well as an email reminder for forgotten account info.

The individual songs go into the Miscellaneous folder.

Yep I plan on making up some flash tutorials explain how to use all the functionality and detialing specifics like if you upload the same zip file with more tracks in it it will simply add the extra tracks to the existing folder.

I plan on makin gup the tutorials/help documentation before I launch the final product.

Yep the email reminder wont be a problem and the cookie stuff shouldnt be either :) All of this will be added to the admin console along with the ability to upload you own skins etc.

Im currently working on alot of code and just wanted to get a feel form the general public to see if what im building would be useful and might sell well :)

Thank you so much for your feedback its very much apreciated !!

    Just a followup.

In my initial tests I was listening to the latest Tool album, then tried to listen to some Pink Floyd (The Wall) and received a 500 error (I believe).

    While I'm at it...

What is the purpose of the checkboxes next to each song?

What if I don't want to create a playlist, but want to listen to the entire album? I don't want to have to click each song individually.

I selected a playlist already generated by someone else. Where can I see a list of songs in each playlist? Where can I modify it?

You may already have all this functionality. This was just a cursory glance. If its already there, then you may want to make it a bit more obvious how to use it.

Thats strange the 500 error. The code is no wher enear final yet so I dont doubt there are problems. I have foun some bugs like when you try to download a song that has a ( in the title it wont work and if you try to make a playlist with songs that have & signs in them the entire playlist craps out.

Remember this is in Beta right now :) I was just hoping to see if there would be an interest in such a product and now that I see there is ill definitely be putting in the time to make sure everything is solid before I launch.

the purposes of the checkboxes is to allow you to make a playlist accross folders. you can select songs in one folder then switch to another and select more songs etc and end up making a huge playlist involving songs from many folders.

I was thinking of coding in something so that when an entire album is uploaded it will auto create a playlist for that entire album.

as far as seeing a list of the songs in a playlist i figure thats something ill build in at a later time it doesnt take too long to create a new playlist with the songs you want so i figured it wasnt all that important.

I will be building in the ability to delete playlists as far as adding to existing playlists that may be a little more difficult do to how windows media player manages the playlist file.

Ill see what i can do as far as modifying existing playlists.

thanks again for your feedback :) great job in testing out the product this is exactly what I need to make sure I build a SOLID product!

Quick and easy way of 'editing' a playlist. Just simply delete the old one and create a new one using the same name.

I realize its a work in progress. But it does have potential. Good work so far.

Yep and right now if you create a playlist with the same name it will overwrite the old one but i thought you wanted to be able to remove some songs and add other ones to an existing playlist no ?

That would be a little more dificult to do but im sure I could figure something out.

Thanks for the props :) And I love the help your providing me with your feedback ! Like I said earlier feedback is exactly what I need to make this a GREAT product :)
