$15 Logo Contest For Technology Site

Hello all!

I'll skip right to the stuff, my website needs to open January 1st, 2009, and I still don't have a logo, and after searching the boards here, its pretty obvious that some of you have some SERIOUS talent when it comes to photoshop.

So if your interested for $15 can you make a logo that...

• Says "Ace Of Tech"

• Is a vector image (like a transparent background cause this logo will overlay over various backgrounds)

• Because it will mostly overlay dark colors, a white colored border around the text would be nice.

• Use the color (or a shade close to this color) #A2BA25

• Max height is 100px (or taller, but understand, if you must make it taller, it must be able to be readable from a scaled-down size!)

Contest will run till around the 23rd (or unless there is just a stunning one.) Money will be payed via Paypal, AND I have the right to say no to all of them! Even though that probably won't happen, the reason I say that is because I don't want to have to pay $15 for a sucky logo I don't want, and I definitely don't want to lie about a fake winner, so if none of them are good, there will be no winner.

Let your imagination run rampant and throw anything and everything at me!

what is your website about and should there be a blurb included?

 

My website is aceoftech.com (currently down for updates) but I can get you a screenshot of the homepage if you need it for reference or anything.

And as of now, no blurb, simply because with the space I have to work with, it might be hard to slip one in.

A topic would help greatly. Are you an ace in the IT business? What is your website about? The design may be based on this.

 

Is this your current logo?

 

No not at all, you got that from some about page that indexed my site all wrong. My old logo was trash, and its kinda the reason I need a new one.

About my site, this is how I described it for directories: Ace of Tech is a new and invigorating technology site for anything and everything tech, for the all of latest and greatest tech news, tutorials, help guides, How-To’s, D.I.Y. guides, and tech product reviews; add Ace of Tech to your daily reading!

And no, we are not an Ace on the IT business, just a site with technology info (gadgets, gizmos, events like CES, all that fun stuff) plus new forums!

For a quickie that's pretty good, but it's kinda hard to make out the "T" in tech...

I wish I was as good at it as you were... If you got some extra time, maybe you can play around with your last one so that it says "Ace" or at least implies it

Also, keep in mind this logo will be overlayed over some dark backgrounds, not that what you have is not right but just imagine laying over some dark black... would the "of" still be visible?

 

I tweaked it again and added the "ce' to the "A" just to see if it works for you or not. It may be a little busy looking with it, but it does spell it all out.

eduardoh, your is very pretty, but it looks too much just like a "Ace" then some text, you know? Don't get me wrong, I like your work, but maybe a little more... creativity?
