nobody is interested in .net domains if they are not generic keywords or if they are not NNN.net LLL.net :) .com has a higher marketing value..

Only one word .net's are worth anything. Historically, even those haven't paid off that much.

bro! .com is better as its more commonly used. But you have to work at .com and .net equally to get reputation in search engines. They don't care about its .com or .net. They have different criteria for judging domain name's value.

no question is too dumb to ask, but that was getting pretty close. the general public thinks of a website as a .com and nothing can ever change that!

.COM domain name are more valued as far as I know but I know good domain names with .NET. If you have domain names availible for both - register with both domain name extension. That is not expensive now

It actually depends on "domain name" rather than extension because a good domain name can be acceptable for .net too if it is meaningful.

Without doubt, the .com version outsells / outlasts .net by miles.
It's just the way the Internet orients itself around certain preferences.

The obvoius answer is .com and the reason is because the general public has been exposed to .com for well over a decade (particularly during the tech bubble) and not nearly as much to .net. In fact, much of the public not only associates the "internet" with "dot com", but most don't even know there are other domain extensions around, so you risk having a % of your .net traffic leaked to the .com but not the reverse. Hence, .com is always more valuable than .net, assuming all else is equal.

Normally .com will fetch more than 30% of the price of .net extension.
This is due to .com is a worldwide domain extension and the unregistered .com domain is limited if compare to .net thus it make .com more valuable.

    Really???

I guess you haven't seen all the other 2 word .net sales then. Might be worth having a look @ DNSalePrice.com & Namebio.com to educate yourself about the domain market.

.com the best alwasy, for SE all are same. But for direct typing or remember .com the best. If type ctorll enter doamin name without .com will open .com domain.

.com domain names are easily more valuable than .nets. but it's not to say that in order to have a successful site, you'll need a .com.
