I've got about 30 add-ons in ff and I need all of them. If they find something wrong with ff i'll be screwed

    Use this then: FEBE

    Back on topic:

Looks like avoiding this vulnerability may be a little trickier than simply not using IE.

Fortunately, there's a temporary workaround utility available from Prevx.

IE is still light years behind Firefox when it comes to fixing security threats..with Firefox you are atleast aware that someone is working on it to fix it..but with IE, it takes ages..

IE has more vulnerabilities than all other web browsers combined. See Secunia for details. It's the only browser in the world that security experts advise you should never use.

I am curious, there is not much talk of anyone using Chrome. I just downloaded Opera and Chrome to try them. I use Entrecard and Firefox and Opera gives me a MX error when I open too many tabs when dropping cards. With this last security threat, I have decided to try and switch and Chrome seems to be working great and I have had no issues with it.

I have use IE forever but I am tired of all the problems I get with them. Chrome allows easy shift of all passwords and book marks so i am going to use them.

    Any opinions on Chrome ?

LOL and you don't get the man's point?

Topic starter said EXACTLY the opposite, claiming MS is advising people to switch, which they will OBVIOUSLY not do.

I agree with our friend. Either READ the news and give your OPINION, or just post a link to the story so people with half a brain can make up their own mind.

What a classic example of "follow the herd mentality." Thanks for reminding me once again why I never want to work for a corporation again.

Firefox is a good browser but I don't think IE is dead yet...they are pushing it hard with Vista and LIVE.

Learn to read and comprehend. Microsoft doesn't advice switching browsers

FF isn't exactly a trail blazer themselves in the design business. Educate yourself more before making blind statements next time mmkay. FireFox has holes, just like everything else.

But they are 11 years ahead of IE and compete well with Safari and Opera.
And IE has more "holes" than all the other browsers combined. See my link below. Plus, it's the only browser that security people tell you to avoid (and I'm not talking just about this recent event).

The fix is out, which is very fast by Microsoft standards. Lucky thing is I seldom use IE, but for those who are using IE, better start patching now.

You don't know what you're talking about. Read my links. IE has more holes than all other browsers added together. Security experts have always advised to never use IE. See my links.

You mean including the one that Microsoft references? The first one Microsoft would link to on their IEBlog. Or do you only believe Microsoft rhetoric. The same people who brought you this wonderful virus. And my 3rd link is Bruce Scheier! You don't know who Bruce Scheier is?! Jeez.

Again, IE has always been the most blatantly insecure browser on the planet by 3x and more.
