Adding banner to wordpress blog post

    Can anybody tell me how I can add a banner to the top of post on my self hosted wordpress blog?

    Are you talking about an adv banner, like adsense?

    Do you want to place the banner on the top of the post which have placed in my Blog ? You can do it by adding the code in index.php and/or home.php which are in your theme directory.

    Edit your index.php ( before the content)

    You might also want to edit single.php.
