I would like to know does number of posts in blog matters ? I haven't seen any blog having more than 500 posts and is ranked lower.

Suppose if I am writing 5-6 posts daily with good content, do I stand chance of getting higher traffic in 4-5 months ?

The more content the better... though quality has to count for something. You may find that a blog that updates once a week with FANTASTIC content ranks better then a blog that has 5 or 6 entries a day of substandard quality. Yeah, the second blog may pull in a wider range of SERP, but at what cost? It certainly wont rank as well (without paid links or other subterfuge)

It is good to have content growing, updating page or comment addition is good. However it is good to have quality content hence delete unwanted post this will also help you visitors.

Actually, it's not just about the content on your site. You need to be good at marketing.
Submit a few articles that are relevant to your niche to article directories consistently.

more and more quality content is always better. also you must concentrate on marketing of the blog. once your blog hits top ranks in SEPRs you will sure get good traffic... and more content you have there are more chances to get on top for various keywords.

The uniqueness of content also matters. Just posting somewhat same content that others post is not enough. Think different and write different.

yes definitely but the condition is that the content should be unique and fresh everytime you update the post. Same post if available with same information then no one would like to read and even google will not give much importance. So maintain quality with quantity then you can get high pr, high traffic, high connverison and high ranking.

    That's simple logic

In a nutshell, quality matters much more than quantity does, as seen

    Hello,

Increasing the number of posts in a blog will surely help you get higher traffic. But a good quality, keyword-optimized content is even more impotant than updating your blog daily. Howewver, only regular blog posting and good content will not help you to gain good traffic, proper marketing of your blog is required for attracting visitors to your blog. As for marketing, you can use both on-page and off-page optimization tools to make your blog popular. On-page optimization will help you blog get high rank in SERPs bringing you desired traffic.

    Regards

The ranking doesn't depend on the number of post but it depends on the keywords on content and building links.

Having more articles, allows you to be found for different keywords and expressions. Therefore you get more traffic ;)

Not necessarily. If your publishing low quality content, you will not be 'linked' and you won't rank for much of anything.

Don't post content just to be posting it. Post content because it brings something of value to the readers of your blog. And write concisely... people are busy... put the information in front of them in the easiest to use way.

If 1 post brings in 1 visitor per day, then when you get to 5k posts, slowly, then you would eventually have 5,000 visits per day.

I think the odds are likely a lot lower then that, but that is certainly the mindset one must keep.

Keep quality high, and keep on posting... the more the better in most cases (providing decent content).

My sites all have multiple pages, and none pull in daily viewers. But I do have some pages that pull in 3 or 4 a week, and hey, that's better then had I not bothered to write them!
