Yesterday my rank was 325,976 and today it is saying 1,3xx,xxx .. What the f..k is that.. Was expecting 1xx,xxx at the end of the month..

Same thing happened to me. Mine was in xxx,xxx, and now it;s like yours.

 

Alexa does not open for me at all at this moment.

 

me too. my traffic is increasing yet my alexa is going down

 

This took place about 9 hours ago for my site. Hopefully when it updates in a bit it fixes the problem.

 

Yep. Also noticed that some of the numbers that used to have "commas" in them do not anymore. So instead of "190,342" you see "190342". Something is broken...

 

I can bet alexa have changed something or having some error.

 

I recently opened a site the ranking was.
N/A
then 1,562,000 (Something like that.)
and today 946, 565

so it's dropping quite nicely for me.

 

In my side , everything is working fine . I can see a continues rise in my Alexa ranking for the past 3 months ..

 

Gosh !! i went back and checked Alexa rank for my domain techknowl.com
@Master09 you are correct .My Alexa traffic was 202100 , yesterday and now it is fallen to 382180(3 month change) in a single day .
Yesterday, three month average was 1120296 up and now it is showing the same value down . At the same time , i am amazed to see that i am getting daily values which is only available for top 100K.

Something is going very strange with the Alexa traffic ranking system . I think its not a problem with my original traffic rank as its a single day drop.

 

It looks to me like they restored old data from November, but only for the three month figures.

I happen to have this page where I was tracking my Alexa Rank: Increase Alexa Rank

It shows my 3 month average on 11/4/08 as 696,133. That's the exact same figure Alexa is showing for my site today.

Too much of a coincidence, so I'm guessing they lost some data and restored from a backup done on November 4th or so.

 

Yeah, mine was 720,000 something, today it's 992,634. .

I am not obsessively checking Alexa rankings every now and then, so I don't have a problem.

I feel that Alexa ranking isn't worth much consideration.

 

^^^^ nonsense, its a good "indication" and a snapshot of your competitions traffic as well as a quick looks at your own.

And yes checking you traffic every day will not change anything - try spendind the time you check alexa on working on SEO, backlinks etc

 

I am totally agreeing with with you . But , please remember that Alexa rank is considered by many advertising firms while accepting publisher registrations .

 

Even my fairly new site (super unique content, is growing like weed) BUT also dropped rank!

There is something seems to be wrong with alexa.

 

seem alexa not well manage anymore

 

They are displaying it not correct but if you are using external tools that extract the data its correct.
Use PR Checker and see for yourself your site ranking. Its correct isn't
