hiya.... with Google shifting to personalized search, will SEO survive? does SEO holds any future or will it convert into something else or will vanish completely? lets do a brain storming
Well from the looks of things it might die a bit! which is good for me as im about to launch a site in a few weeks and its less for me to worry about. The link below goes into more detail http://www.theregister.co.uk/2008/12/12/googlewashing_revisited/ _Super_SambrooK_
if SEO dies, what will optimizers do? many people will lose their jobs, organizations will stop SEO work.....complete mayhem
I think that people are too lazy to use the new search wiki feature so dont worry untill google will see that feature isn't used so much will remove it
People will always use the internet. People will always want websites that reach high in search engines and generate more revenue, therefor people will need SOME kind of SEO to do that. Infact SEO is one of the only jobs in todays current economical crisis that is still holding fast, people want more income and revenue to try to push their companies/businesses out of the 'crisis'. Best way to do this is via the net, best way to do that is to have a good Ranking and make sure your company/business is being used, so companies/businesses will have need of SEO's to try to get the revenue that they desire. I think We're ok... for now. ;P
Google is not the only Search Engine. If Google die, it doesn't mean SEO is die... only GO (Google Optimization) die.
Lol! Google will never die! Its because google is the biggest search engine and If that you time comes there an always a SEO its because there many search engine.
I don't know but whenever the term SEO is discussed , the Big G is the first name that occurs to our mind. And yes, neither SEO will die nor Google
SEO will die when everyone becomes good at it ... unless Google becomes Skynet. Or when this product becomes available to everyone - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SkS5PkHQphY
I will certainly change, but I doubt that it will die any time soon. It will die when the technologies we use to communicate becomes radically different, and internet evolves into some new thing. But at this stage, there's no sign of that just yet.
I agree. And even then, there will always be the need to look through the vast amounts of information available out there in order to get what you need.
