If that is the case then maybe DP admin should check the PM inbox/outbox of this contest holder!

What's with the accusations? I have no intent or obligation to post the winning logo here, look for it on my finished site in about 2 weeks :)

Thank you for your great entries and your time. Keep up the good work!

I don't accusing you, but it's your actions made that so, and it's fair to all designers who joined your contest to know who won and what design that made it greater over them... your contest is a customized one, meaning the designer put their efforts to make you a TAP from scratch.... and u will just abandon them, us!.... anyways, at least we are getting to know better, we will keep eyeing you on future contest.

You didn't accuse the dude, you were just expressing what you think. You said: "I think he just...." This clearly is no accusation.

Now proteindude also "thinks" the reason he won't show that winning logo is because he got some ideas from the great designers that entered this contest and perhaps he will get someone else to touch it up or alter it a little to suit his needs. That's why you have to wait for two weeks before it goes on the site. But then again this is just me thinking. Of course the easiest way to prove me wrong is to post that winning logo ;)

I think it's hilarious that the person with the worst logo design in this contest thinks I'm going to steal their idea. Doing this contest made me realize that $100 will not bring in the quality of work I'm looking for. A designer PMed me with a concept that's going to cost me 6X $100, but since it is at the level of quality I'm looking for, I'm willing to pay the $600 -

Why don't you give it up KatesRobyn, stop beating a dead horse, there's obviously a reason why your designs are "as low as $20" - and this is not the level of quality i'm looking for.

and as stated in bold text in my first post:

"Although unlikely, if we do not find the perfect match, we reserve the right to close the contest without declaring a winner."

Are you saying you didn't pick a winner, or someone PMed you asking for $600 for what must be a perfect logo?

I don't really think it matters anymore, at the end of the day he did stipulate he wouldn't pay for a logo if he didn't like one and that is just what has happened. As frustrating as it can be for a designer, there is no point of a contest holder paying money for something they won't use.

It happens sometimes, and yes it may have been a waste of your time but it's just the nature of design contests.

@ DaveyBoy - It doesn't matter anymore?... to you maybe because you didn't put many hours into this contest. Contests where a CH reserves the right to select a winner really do cease to be contests. "Real" contests... there is ALWAYS a winner! All this does is give the CH the right to use and abuse us designers, although most CH's are genuine and do not take advantage of us in this way!

If a design is submitted via PM and selected as the winning design, then the CH should at least post the name of the designer... or else the rest of the designers will automatically smell a fish!!! Too many times have us designers been ripped off so it's understandable why some of us may feel a little irate!

@ thinkbignet - Katesrobyn did not deserve that from you! All you had to do is post the winners name and all would have been fine.

You had the choice of whether to enter or not, knowing this rule was in there though. I do prefer there to always be a winner in a contest, but nowadays I can view it from the contest holder's side a lot more, and I do not think they should be forced to pay for something they don't want. What is the point of that?

I've entered a lot of unresolved/abandoned contests myself, and yes it's frustrating, but it makes more sense to move on and forget about it and try to make money elsewhere than spending all your time on this thread.

I agree the guy should have posted the winning entry, but that's his decision.

Which one is it: either KatesRobyn was on the right track or not. Which one should you believe, this CH first post above or the second one?

Facts speak for themselves: KatesRobyn itrader versus thinkbignet itrader. My suggestion.....no need to declare a winner, as it's very obvious.

So a scammer until the very end. First he said he received it via pm and that he also paid 6x100. I'm not sure how it works but obviously he had no intention of paying anyone here at dp. I mean why else run two contests in two different places?

Anyway, for what it's worth I still think dp has the best and friendliest designers to work with. There just seems to be an enjoyable atmosphere here despite the occassional scammers.

Thanks for showing the link xpressions

    Very Nice...

ThinkBigNet consider your name tainted forever on DP. If you tell us the truth the first time, everything would've ben fine. A simple link to your other contest and noone here would've had a problem. For the rest of your projects you can skip DP and go straight to your 600 dollar designer.
