    Hi

In one forum was discussion about domain names that has been sold for over 100K$ One name that realy suprised me was powerpoker.com and they said it was sold for 160K$ Is that information true? It doesnt sound logical. It is too much

I have domain elegantpoker.com What is the difference between these two domains that makes my domain less valuable? I realy appreciate if someone explains it to me.

Domain has 81.000 inlinks, that alone is not worth that kind of cash.

It could include some sort of high-profile or well known player sponsoring, or it could just be a company desiding that they want to call their new pokersite power poker. Everything is worth what somone is willing to pay for it....

If you compare the names between Elegant and Power.
What appeals more to a pro player, definitely Power.

The more important question is the previous use and age etc, of the domain name sold. There will always be the price somebody will even offer for you domain name more than another person.

The other way to look at this is that nothing makes that domain worth the price that was paid for it other than someone wanted it bad enough and paid that amount.

This is more so the case in many domain sales. I personally have experienced this with the majority of my domain sales.

In reality, a domain is only worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it. You can mark a domain at $X price and believe it is worth $X amount based on “comps” and data, but the reality is that until someone opens their checkbook to cut a check, it’s not worth X.

Traffic and revenue play little part in a lot of domain sales when talking about branding specifically and that is what this is surely about.

Although there is some 'science' to domaining, it is also a bit like art - a domain name is like a painting in that it is worth whatever someone is prepared to pay for it.

I'm sure that if you developed your ElegantPoker domain, got some traffic and a bit of monthly revenue you could sell it for a good price.

"Power Poker" is a very specific term describing situation when you play several hands at once.
May also stand for slightly more aggressive strategy.
On the other hand, "elegant poker" blends nicely with the feminine side of this great classic card game.
    Good luck

I had some poker domains up for sale here and couldn't even get $60.

Did sell one of them on TDNAM for $100 though.

    domain name itself
    length
    development
    existing traffic
I suppose that is the main indexes which make domain name expensive

I think it depend on the traffic and niche word. If the domain has a niche word may be we can sell for hi price
