I'm asking because I would like some more input on how people go about finding freebies/freestuff before I continue working on my website. Clearly, people like free stuff, but do you normally search google for freebies? Or do you just complete free offers if you happen to pass them on the web? Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks!
The only free thing I search for online are free magazine subscriptions. I get dozens of them, such as Maxim, EGM, etc. I use sites like Free Biz Mags, Mercury Magazines, etc. Also, sites like Fat Wallet and Slick Deals are good.
I recently became addicted to Slickdeals. The reason that slickdeals is so popular is because incredible deals turn up but only last a short while, sometimes only minutes. If you don't take advantage of the deals in that time then you miss out. It's a great way to market a website and I'm sure they make alot of money from it. As for free stuff I don't really search for any freebies. I would suggest doing a lot of keyword research and seeing what specifics people are looking for. Separate by category and nail down to individual pages/articles you can create.
Yea. I get some great subscriptons too. Got most of mine through TradePub. I will check out Free Biz Mags. Thanks
Slickdeals is legit. Very simple to use. I guess it's back to keyword research LOL. Thanks for the tips.
I use to, but found out 99% of the companies end up charging my mobile (without my consent) for subscription fees. So many people get caught out with this. You don't realise when entering you info, address, phone etc, for the freebies that they actually charge you a subscription fee. Took me weeks to sort through and cancel $5.00 subscriptions that I never signed up to. Happened to me (Australia) anyway, so a warning to all make sure when you give out your mobile number there are no hidden charges.
I own a freebie lense squidoo.com/totally-free-stuff- is kinda alright but is there for a bigger project
Newbies to the internet tend to look for freebies more. That is the market you're actually targetting, and it can be fairly profitable.
I was thinking of giving a freebie, when I can, I would coach 10 people on how to earn $100/day, it would be free. Only catch is that they will have to pay 5% of earnings for their first year.
Yea. I hate those. There are so much fine print on those offers. I'm going to search for a good How-To Freebies guide and study it before I seriously enter the niche. Thanks for the feedback.
Good point. I need to hit the freebie communities to see if it sticks. Would hate to spend some cash on PPC and waste my investment.
