Anyone know what's happening with cb-analytics. It always updates daily, however it hasn't updated at all in the past 3 days, anyone have an idea what's going on?
I personally know the admin of cb-analytics and he told me he just doesn't care anymore about this site - it runs completely on autopilot for the past several months. If you want regular updates, use a new site instead: http://cb-tracker.com
The thing I don't like about cbengine over cb-analytics, is that they update weekly i.e once in seven days, while cb analytics updates every day.
I've been wondering the same thing. I checked a couple different sites that normally show updates, and it doesn't appear that any of them are current. This leads me to believe it's a problem with clickbank's daily xml feed, and not cb-analytics.
There's no problem with clickbank feed. My site updates every day at 5am without any problems and all data is current as of today's morning feed. Feel free to cross-check it with clickbank marketplace data.
Anyways, while cb-analytics is not up to date and cbengine have only weekly updates, feel free to enjoy cb-tracker. It has one sweet feature which doesn't exist in both of these two monsters: precise selection of clickbank products. For example, how would you find products with gravity between 20 and 100, payout at least $20 and non-zero Google PR and sort it by momentum? You can do it with a single link: http://cb-tracker.com/catalog.php#m...20&pagerank=1&category=0&sortby=-gravitydelta
i was wondering what happen to cb analytics but http://cb-tracker.com really not that bad. I wish it could list more top gravity gains though
You can go to catalog and sort by gravity delta (just click on the filter header): http://cb-tracker.com/catalog.php#category=0&sortby=-gravitydelta
Is that your site? Nice clean design but the interface isn't intuitive. When you have to explain to a user how to sort the results it means it's not user friendly. Most don't have the luxury of interacting with someone that knows how to navigate the site. So someone will look at the results and ask "how the hell do I sort the results?". There's no easy explanation so they bounce. I'm pretty confident that most people that want to sort the query results don't know to click the filter header. It's not standard, so most won't think to do that. Probably why cb-analytics was so popular. Very intuitive. No explanation needed. The results on cb-tracker are also not easy to scan. All the information is stacked on top of each other so even if I sort by gravity I can't just scan down the page picking up the gravity for each product because there's three other numbers right under the gravity for each product that draw my eye. If the sort item was in bold on each query it would make it easier to scan. The query results option with "show more results" is also not very user friendly. Should separate by page and number the results so users can pick up where they left off. When more results are shown a large amount of data is dumped on screen and you lose your place. It's a nice site. You could easily monetize it as a membership site if it were more user friendly. Too bad if cb-analytics isn't getting the same attention. I used that site everyday. And if cb-analytics had a cleaner design, added a couple of features I would gladly pay $5-$10 a month to use it. Just some feedback for the site owner that's thinking of monetizing cb-tracker in the future.
Thanks for so detailed feedback! I'll think about it and will try to fix most pain points in the nearest future. I'm more programmer than designer, so I really need this kind of feedback. I don't plan to create any paid services - just click on banners if you want to support further development
No problem. I really like the filters on the queries. Very useful for nailing down the type of product I'm looking for. I think it would be difficult to monetize the kind of traffic you get with banners or adsense or anything like that. If you're getting a lot of traffic, then you'll get some return. But you have a very specific user base. Your users are people that create ads and create banners. We know what they are. Very conscious, very aware of what they are and what they do. Most marketers block that crap out. Get them on your list. Offer additional features if they sign up for a free membership or something. Then package some information to make the marketers goals easier. Use your programming knowledge. Create your own information products then offer it them. Something like: - 20 scripts every marketer should have. - Build a cloaking software (marketers are paranoid like hell about cloaking) - Automate the website building process. Most marketers are weak on web development. They're not designers, and not programmers. So you have a captive audience with your skills. Best of luck to you. I'll be checking out your site more often.
