http://www.mixx.com/ is a social bookmarking site similar in concept to digg.com. Anybody on this forum tried your website marketing through mixx.com?
Although time is not a full proof method to determine any outcome, I would personally like to see mixx become more popular. Digg has become more of a "I scratch your back, you scratch mine" thingy rather than a place where people digg your submission for genuine interests. I am trying to use mixx for my website promotion and if it becomes famous enough, I will be in a win situation.
On the contrary, I think its quite easy. Mixx.com uses intergration login feature with popular websites, such as yahoo!, Facebook and Aim to eliminate the lengthy registration and login process associated with other social bookmarking sites. Mixx is one of the fastest indexing sites I used for new urls in G. Bookmarked pages show up within hours in G, the next day at the latest. And it works with socialmarker. (Shhh...dont tell anyone. ; -)
I like using Mixx a lot. More people have made the move from Digg and I've read that Mixx is a popular social networking site used in India. Mixx also encourages you to submit your own posts and Web sites. Not a bad deal at all. Good promotional tool as well as a bookmark site. You can also share stories and links easily with others.
Digg is on a festival of banning people. Digg even banned popular users who have been helping the site over the years.
