Some beotch just called me and said I am getting booted on Monday for poor conversions. Since 30% of my traffic is from Google or Google AdWords and 69% from Yahoo, I guess Yahoo ain't converting anymore, eh? No MySpace traffic, mostly health content sites, original articles. I guess I got a personal call first because I am somewhat of an above average publisher in terms of revenue. Maybe the calls are going South to North, let me know if anyone else gets one. Back to AdSense??
Hmm, thats not above average publishers then. It's high profit publishers... Dang, ypn is booting everyone now and then?
Haha and it went up yesterday. ;-) And btw, it's YOUR site that's not converting, not Yahoo idiot, it got people from your site so obviously its converting. More money for us publishers.
Way to be a 1st class a-hole. Yah it went up yesterday?? I was still in it, so way to get a correlation, in fact, I'll be taking your cut all the way until Monday. And btw, idiot, my site converts very well for my affiliate programs. Around 15% CR with my selected programs. This isn't some POS myspace site.
Your CLICKS are not converting for Yahoo's advertisers. So pretty much YOU are making money, while the advertiser's are getting shorted... so who's the a-hole now? I was talking about Yahoo's stock (YHOO) went up and you said you sold it off. It went from $29.50 to $31.00!
I sold $31.60, so better for me. And how would they know if I am converting? Their amazing overture tracking code, or what is it?
I was targetting as close as I could, what my sites were about. So mainly health stuff. I never targetted insurance or travel type of stuff unless the site was about that specifically. Which, to my knowledge, I don't think I was using any of those type of sites in YPN.
I'm confused by this statement: U don't think what? Are u saying that u had YPN on hundreds of sites, and you lost track of which ones had YPN code?
I have a lot of sites. Let me check.... I had 1 insurance related site in this account, but it never gets traffic, it has gotten around $40 lifetime, which % wise in my account is close to 0%. So I doubt the dozen +/- clicks I got on that site tripped it up. Most of my sites bringing in the big traffic rank well in Yahoo and that is where a lot of traffic comes from.
got the boot, too (very high volume here)... I am still very impressed by their customer service and our account rep though and can understand their motivation... no big deal since we are also a google premium publisher. Two suggestions for the yahoo team: - why not look at sites individually and only disable the ones that don't convert instead of the whole account? - there should be targeting categories specifically for myspace / blogging related sites.
