Does this generate revenue when somebody searches, or when somebody searches then clicks on one of the ads which comes up? If the latter is the case, are they particularly valuable to have on your website? I couldn't really imagine that many people will search with it AND then click an advert which comes up. Dan
It's when the ads are clicked after the search, and it's relitively similar to regular ads (revenue wise).
I don't know what you mean by "similar CTR", but they do measure that, yes. But if you really mean how much each click pays, then it depends entirely on the ads. The search is completely separated from the site content ads (the "normal" ads), which is why they have their own separate stats column. But at the end of the day, they're all rolled up into one earning.
I don't seem to generate any revenue from these search boxes. Even when people use them and click on the ads. www-teach-abroad.info
To be honest they won't make money for you, unless your site is with some SEO or.. huh ..hell knows, really hard to guess who searches with that box..everybody knows google or yahoo.. I got no revenue from that too..
