It is not disallowed. See it here. You just have to make sure that it doesn't look similar to google ads. It can be a grey area, and you should err on the side of caution. Google isn't going to acknowledge Ebay or any other company in a list of OK advertisers. They only tell you what you can't do. Not what you can. Google quote: Can I place Google ads on the same page with other ads? You're welcome to display Google ads on the same site or page as other third party advertisements provided that the formatting or colors of the third party ads is different enough from that of the Google ads. In other words, if you choose to place non-Google ads on the same site or page as Google ads, it should always be clear to the user that the ads are served by different advertising networks and that the non-Google ads have no association with Google. If the formats are naturally similar, we ask that you choose different color schemes for the competing ads. Our intent with this policy is to be as fair to our advertisers as possible and to maintain the integrity of the AdWords and AdSense programs. You can learn more about this, and all our policies, on our program policies page. Please also be aware that competitor ads are considered to be part of your site’s content and must follow our policy guidelines.
Ok, That's the great information, But unfortunately I never implement sucessfully the EPN code in my blogs, I don't know why? It always seems to me blank.
I wouldn't put effort into Ebay's affiliate program. I was about to start a project with it, then they took it back from CJ.com I knew they would implement changes, so put my project on hold. Low and behold, they shut down a bunch of folks, for "traffic of poor quality". Without guidelines on what that quality should be, lots of the pros making a living were afraid to change anything so they just started working on other projects in the fear that Ebay might penalize them. OK if you want to give them a chance, but don't put 100% of your future income in Ebay's hands. Ebay has been declining in important ways when they should be gaining along with general internet increases. They really don't have their act together right now.
As Ebay have become the monolithic giant they are today, they have forgotten a few of the things that got them to where they are, in my opinion. As usual when something gets so huge all queries are responded to with template replies and the people in support are just copying and pasting regardless of what you say to them. Coupled with the astronomical fees and unforgiving feedback mechanism they now have in place, the days small sellers could set up a profitable physical products business is pretty much redundant although there will always be exceptions to this rule. To me the message is clear: They want large volume sellers and nobody really counts other than the buyer. Unfortunately they have shot themselves in the foot to an extent as small business sellers provided variety to the inventory in their marketplace. Now you've just got bulk items and used items. It still has it's uses it's just a shame that they think this is the right formula as I think they have misjudged what made people love their marketplace. Usual ivory tower stuff! Dean
Yes, you can display third party ads along with Google Adsense ads. But keep in mind, ads from different vendors should not mimic each other. That is, it should be different in styles/colours etc.
Sorry to hijack a thread but I gotta answer. You cannot paste JavaScript in blog posts. Either make it a static link by copying out only the a href part (from the eBay link that you generate) and making a text link, or paste the code into a sidebar widget.
