Can anyone help me understand this?

    I submitted sitemaps to google in webmaster tools a few hours ago and have

    this Sitemap stats
    Total URLs: 43
    Indexed URLs: 1

    Does this mean that it only wants to index one out of the 43, or does it mean one is indexed and the other will shortly?

    Can anyone help, thanks.

    It means only one is indexed at the moment but note this data can sometimes be delayed.

    If there isnt any problems with the site they *should* index more.

    Sometime it gets delay in updating though Google after it collect data.
    Have patient....it will be indexed soon, and I hope you getting your all 43 pages indexed in Google when you type

    I agree with the previous posts... Have some patience, and build links...

    Google will decide to index more pages from your site IF it sees that your site is worth it... - Get more links... That will make it look better in G eyes...

    You may want to read this about indexed urls in Google Webmaster Tools. they don't necessarily have much in common with the actual numbered of indexed URLs that will return in search results.

    Yup they should index more on your pages. That's the problem I see on that results.

    it means only one of your 41 urls indexed. no matter others
