It totally depends on how much work you do per site and over what period of time.

How much do you regard as a good amount?

    You could have 1 x $100 a day site
    You could have 20 x $5 a day sites
    You could have 50 x $2 a day sites
    You could have 100 x $1 a day sites
    You could have 200 x $0.50 a day sites

Probably best to have a few websites over time as a happy medium but it's entirely up to you.

Number of sites is not important, but the content, design and overall traffic is more important.

Depends on how much each site is making, if you put out like 1,000 sites and you do just a little link building for each site and some social bookmarking, then I think you will get a good amount of traffic to put up adsense and make alot daily with 1,000 sites.

    Good Luck

1000 sites at $8-9 a domain registration ( $8000-9000 a year ) is a serious chunk of change for anyone looking to start making money online.

I don't recommend people do this starting out at all.

its not a simple equation but generally the more time you spend the more yo will earn but it wont happen overnight - slow and steady wins the race!

try less than a buck per domain for .info's(These are ideal for building mass quantity of sites) = Less than $1,000

Each site producing just 5 cents per day = $50

    $50 X 20 Days = $1,000

    Seem's like a workable plan to me.......:D

My current sites produce $1-$3 each per day, and those just took some unique content and a little link building to get them where they are.

So try $2 per day from 1,000 Sites = $2,000

    $2,000 X 20 Days = $40,000

    See how this works.....

Interesting viewpoint. Were any of your .info domains affected by Google recently? I know they ran the filter over them and a lot of BANS sites were affected but can't comment beyond that as I haven't really gone down the .info route with any sites, mainly due to the fact they were heavily targetted by spammers back in the TE days.

The numbers are easier to work with at this level on mass site building though, for sure.

Well it is question many including myself are wondering
1 site Vs Many sites ?
I see many suggest 1 site but IMHO that is definitely a No No in these times of very frequent Google algo changes and especially if it is site that is almost 100% revenue from Adsense
The general investment philosophy "Do not put all your eggs in one basket" or "Diversify" applies also to online/ web business as well as offline investment world :)
I mean look at those who put all their money into those investment funds- they were left with not even shirts on their backs
So maybe not a few hundred or thousand sites but you should have maybe like around 3 or 5 or 10 sites. :)
