Does anybody know any good online resources of how to manage a software company. I think a software company it's not easy to manage... it's not like owning a shop and hire a seller to sell when you are doing other stuff. In a software company, you can't just hire 3 programmers, sit near them find for them projects on GAF and RAC and smoke grass when they work to fell up your pocket. So there must to be some ways to manager a software company... maybe 3-5 managers will be something that you really need to have... also they need to have a separate office, then to build some teams,etc... i hope you got my idea, you can't just give search on RAC for projects and expect another guy to work for 20% of what your "company" make.
Managing a software company is very difficult. Taking classes for it always help I take classes for Marketing and Business Entrepreneurship. Reading articles online is a great way to find more information. Try googling some articles.
Yea yea yea just search google for managing it company, managing software company and you will get no informations... but a crazy mather fuzer that tell me to know geeks better and get out to a pizza with them ... then on the second page of results i got another crazy mazzzer fuzer that ask for a "time management software for his software company" but.... no real tips and advices.... lol

Classes are a good option but nothing compares to doing the real thing what do I mean about this ? simple you must gain experience by doing things, hands on is something that no school will teach you, also fraud protection is another issue, you will also learn that on the road good luck.
Yes, it is quite difficult to run and manage a software company . Custom and market demand, various plans, program talents, software salesman, promotion , similar software and competitors, copy right management and so on . Hey, guy, wish you good job and good luck .
Yeah , and also deal with maybe an asshole who just want to sit and get money, who not meat the dead lines.etc... this are more common problems. only 20% of projects from RAC get done... Why nobody from here talk about this? A programmer can run away with your client, and ask the client for a party time job. They may also work on other things while they are at work ..etc... and also , i REPEAT, a software company must to have psychological plan also .. you can't sit on RAC bidding on project and give to the guy next you the project to do... lol ... so to star ta software company you must A. start it with your friends, when everybody share revenues... start it with your friends who you know they will work,etc. or B. start it with a few friends/relative... and hire local programmers ... and take care to do their job. have a freind be a team manager,etc.. and you the top manger looking for jobs, and negotiating with the clients in another office.
