I just developed my site hyperwallpaper.com and i submitted into search engines already, so how else can i grow the site, so that people can search for WALLPAPER and then they would see my site?
That term has over 150 million results in Google. Target a broader term ( not singular keywords ). Dean
It would be extremely hard for you to get top 10 for that keyword. It just wouldn't be worth the time. Use more specific keywords.
Search engine results have nothing directly to do with how often a term is actually searched. To find that out you need to do keyword research. Dean
you need to to strong SEO for keyword "wallpaper" I suggest to try to reseach a a walpaper keyword with sorter search results and optimaze that keyword, then you will have much more changes to get in the top 5 pages. the best way to optimize is to add quality content if you want to know more try this ebook http://webtrafficflow.info its 10 bucks but it will help you alot in understanding what is SEOm how does it work and why should you use it. hope this helps and good luck
Its all about backlinks. Build them for years and you will get your nr1# Here what is use: http://pliggsubmitter.com
@Scorpiox - Basically what people are saying here is go for a longer tail keyword phrase. So instead of going for "Wallpaper" go for something like "Personal Computer Wallpaper" ( that's an example, not advise to target it ) etc. Check that term is getting some traffic first though. Dean
Or you could use Google Adwords to get on the first page for a lot, lot less. Let me know if you need help.
From what I can see you have no content on the site other than images of the wallpaper you offer. Because of this the site can never hope to feature anywhere near the top of Google. You need keyword-rich written content. If there is a way for you to add descriptions of each individual wallpaper that would be a useful start. I know it sounds like a lot of work, but if you space it out and do a bit each day, over time you will start to make an impact. The key is good content. You can get to the number one spot without too many back links. I have achieved Google's first page for dozens of pages on my site with only a couple of back links. Pay close attention to: Your page name for each wallpaper Your page title (optimised with H1 tags) Keyword-rich content for each description Take it from there. Best wishes Bob
There is a lot of competition in this topic, and the PPC is also less. You better target something specific. As for getting on page one, content and links will help you and it would take some good of amount and money to achieve the rank #1. For wallpaper kind of sites, traffic is mainly generated by other ways.
Use that keyword as the main theme for your site and dig down into that keyword using your favourite keyword tool and also your own imagination. Go for keywords that would result in sales or high adsense clicks if that is your thing. Dig down for long tails with lower competition and you will find it a lot easier to rank. Also, you will find eventually if your site is really good then you will rank for the big keywords also.
Why everyone just asking "how to get #1 spot on google"? Well, better start working and get that #1 spot then losing time with asking question which asked million members here.
Its a long winded process from what i can gather but keyword your site. Directory Submissions Article Submissions Buy Links
You don't need to get #1 spot for the term wallpaper. People search using many other terms for various types of wallpaper. "Basketball wallpaper" for example. Find out some such keywords and focus on a few of them.
