I have a website for teachers and I want to add a tool that will generate PDF math worksheets.

Here is an example from a competitor's site to show what I'm looking to do: here . <-- Thats basically what I'm looking to do, except I want the layout of the page to be a little fancier. I would want the numbers to be randomly generated.

Question 1 -- What type of programming would I need for this?

Question 2 -- Where do I find this type of programmer?

Question 3 -- Roughly how much would this cost to have someone program it? (I know that cost will be variable from person-to-person... but roughly what might I expect to pay?)

Any other information on this topic would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

well, if you can generate what you want in HTML, you can use http://www.princexml.com/ to convert it to PDF from HTML/CSS with full styles.

    Hope that helps!

Well, I can't generate what I want in html. I want worksheets with random math problems inserted in them.

I can make static html pages. And I can make PDFs using MS Word or Open Office.

I'm looking to have a form where users can input what they want, then have the computer generate a page of randomly generated math problems with an answer key, and do it on a pdf with a customized layout.

I'm reading the prince website you mentioned, but I think it's over my head... I don't have the technical knowhow to create the math problem generator I'm looking for. I see that it converts html to pdf... but, I don't see anything to suggest it can create the kind of app I'm looking for.

+rep to innovati for trying... but can anyone help me by dumbing it down a step. Basically I'm looking to hire someone to program it for me and help me incorporate it into my site: STWorksheets.
