Wordpress 2.7 Released - Upgrade Guide Included

Yeah just wondering why they are coming out so quickly. It seems like 2.6.5 was just released. I just upgraded though to 2.7 and its a lot different.

 

Have your themes gotten corrupted in any way after the upgrade?

 

Not for the two I have done. Why, did yours?

 

No I have done on two blogs, one by manual upgrade and other by using plugin. Both time worked fine for me.

 

I used the manual method on both. It's just as easy / quick.

 

good to see the automatic upgrade in there. about time!

 

Some themes are not supported by 2.7 I guess, my themes are ok!

 

I just upgraded to 2.7. It's going to take me a while to adjust to this new admin panel.

 

I haven't tried yet, but was a little worried about that.

 

Has anyone experienced this?

I upgraded my test blog and it went well but when I try to change the theme, and the java thing loads up what my theme will look like, it only shows my current theme and no matter what one I click on it only shows my current theme.

I get no errors.

EDIT: I've just deleted all my themes and uploaded a new one and it is still showing the theme that I deleted!

 

No issues with themes here for me.

 

I also used the WP automatic upgrade plugin. It was a flawless transition, even with an older theme.

 

Are you seeing the new UI for 2.7?

Yes, that's what I'm having difficulties adjusting to. I like it a lot, but I'm just so used to the 2.6.5 interface that it's going to be a while.

 

well get used to the 2.7 because its here to stay , like xp and vista better to get used now to the new system

 

Yeah, I definitely want to get used to it, it will just take a little time to adjust. I'm actually finding myself getting through it just fine, so maybe it won't be as long as I thought.

 

We will be ing 2.7.1, 2.7.2 etc soon

When you guys are upgrading/updating, do you ever get a no need to update database message; or a message similar sounding to that?
Just wondering.

 

Yeah I do every once in a while for a certain blog.
