hi Google earth is facing a new problem. it is being accused that the Terrorists are using it to Plot their attacks. hence voices are being raised to ban it... what do you think about it??..
It's not going to happen. Google isn't the only maps provider that show satellite/aerial imagery, and it won't be the last. Might as well ban GPS data/maps while you're at it Do you have a source?
It's not going to be banned and there are other services that provide exactly the same information. This is nothing new and has been known for many years. They've blurred out certain military bases in Iraq/Afghanistan because people were using the maps to plot attacks.
The only people calling for this are the kind of fringe groups that think we should ban fiction lest it give terrorists ideas. In other words, no one in their right mind. They will be ignored. Again. Just as they were after 9/11, and the London Train bombings, and every other violent incident.
They should just tell the terrorists that they're not allowed to use Google Earth....that will solve the problem entirely. or just ban all of the terrorists IP addresses so they can't access Google period. Once again..problem solved.
It would be a mistake to ban google earth because it's a great educational tool that many people rely on.
