Firstly i know its not to be relied upon and that its for getting a rough idea at best. But when you do a longtail keyword search (4 words) and it shows: Estimated Avg. CPC £0.00 - £0.44 and estimated clicks per day 0, am i correct in believing that this is not suggesting you would not get clicks for this but rather that because its longtail that its just unable to give the sort of info you see for a single keyword? Ive read that even when it suggests that theres Not enough data to give estimates that there can still be searches, its just that its clearly a small amount, too small for them to be able to provide info like the estimate above?
google really only stores keyword data for keywords with significate search amounts. It does not mean that the keyword does not get any clicks or impressions per month. If it shows estimated clicks per day 0 but gives you an estimated CPC price, then it means the search term only gets a few clicks per month and not enough to count a 1 clicks per day
That is true but the big problem with such terms is not whether people search on them or not but rather whether enough people search on them. It seems Google will only show your ads if the number of searches passes a certain threshold; what that threshold is and whether it is per month, per day, or some other measure, I do not know. My campaign is full of keywords that do not trigger ads because
Thanks bjewelled, its something im glad that ive asked because i wouldn't want to kid myself on and have loads of keywords in place that wont trigger any ads. Thanks as it will save me from doing this.
