Say you want to earn $3000 profit (after deducting costs) per mth from Adsense within 6 months.
    What is best strategy?
Do just 3 blogs that earns at least $1K each per mth ?
OR Do 300 blogs with each blog earning $10 per mth ?

    Thanks:)

With any business model you're better off having more smaller customers rather than a few big ones. Now, this business model doesn't necessarily apply to this situation or work in this context. The bigger the site, the more revenue it's going to generate, and the more revenue it generates, the more it'll grow.

I think you're best off starting 25-50 and seeing which are your most popular and then working on growing 25 of them or so. You could easily host them all on one server.

Making $10/month from each of 300 sites is a good idea .
The problem is how can you earn $10/month from one site . You don't even have enough time and energy to manage all sites, to say nothing of create content and promote the sites .

The thing is, it would be impossible to manage 300 blogs, because if you want them to be successful, you'll have to update them at least 15 times per month, preferably 30. So, lets say you update each blog with 20 posts per month, thats 6,000 articles per month, and, unless you outsource the work and cut into your profits, you won't be able to do that.

Start off with 10 or so blogs, get them going, get them successful, and then see where that takes you. $3k per month is a big ask, but I'm sure you could do it with enough work :D

I'd say the 300 blogs, since that is more achievable than having 3 very profitable blogs. The downside, however, is maintanance. Unless you have people creating content for you, it would be quite tedious...

    Tedious or impossible? :p
Maintaining 300 blogs would mean at least 6000 posts per month... that's 200 articles written every single day! Assuming you can (somehow) write each article in 10 minutes, 2000 minutes means 33 + hours, and, sorry to say, but there are only 24 hours each day. Maintaining 300 blogs to a sufficient standard on your own is.. well... impossible.

It would be impossible to manage 300 blogs a month, I used to run some pretty big blogs but adsense banned me like last week, so you can never rely on adsense either.

I would rather focus all my time and energy on one blog. It it works out well then starting another would be much easier if you have the resources.

One failure is better then 300 failures IMHO.

Starting 300 blogs is not a good strategy as you won't be able to manage them all ... Start 10 niche blogs , update them regularly .Success will be on your way ..

Go for 3 blogs that earns at least $1K each per month coz it more easy to manage.
But if you think outside of box,why don't you do 1 blog that earn $3k/month?
It more safe in cost and time in promoting it.

Yes very true... Even with octopus hands also cannot finish
But then can always outsource to Eskimos or Martians :D
6000 posts at dirt cheap bulk price of $0.50 per post - each post very short like less than 200 words that comes to a huge bill of $3K per mth
    Plug in
300 .com domain reg $200 per mth
    Hosting $100 per mth

So total operational cost abt $3.3K per mth

Marketing/ Promotional/ SEO costs say $600 per mth ($2 per blog per mth which is low but then these will be low cost blogs)
So total costs abt $3.9K per mth

    Target Profit $3K
So Revenue need to be sexy figure of $6.9K per mth
which translates to about Target $23 revenue per blog per mth

On paper that looks pretty tough.. cos if looking at those who do one or two blogs exclusively and intensively, most are making like low $xx and they put all their energies into those few blogs but here talking abt 300 blogs :D
But hey no one tot Obama would be President or McCain would come back last year :p

in my opinion rather then tinking you want to make 3k's a month think of how to bring in more traffic to less then the 300 blogs more traffic=more clicks=more money

you can't earn $3k within a month. but you can earn some decent money if u try social bookmarking and cpm ads.

i would prefer running a only a few or 1 blog/website in a high paying niche (around $2+ a click)
    and just focus on that
