It's like Winston Churchill said about democracy : it's the worst possible system - except for all the others

Its the most used and popular payment processor thats why people use it more ...
Other payment processors will take time to get that position

strange, it's me only or others too but I have not ever used paypal once whether to buy books, pay or to get payment. Has planned to use it since last year but still shaking to read many stories that cursed paypal. The definition of charge back should be elaborated whether the charge back will charge into our credit card for the amount our customer pay or only the percentage that paypal charges from the sales.

Payment services are completely consumer driven. People buying things dictate what payment methods are accepted not people selling things. As long as people want to pay with paypal, everyone will have to accept it, and there will continue to be horror stories. Paypal does have an un-proportionally larger amount of bad experiences because their customer support and risk policies are terrible. But, until they make it more difficult to get an account and pre-screen sellers, their policies are unlikely to change for the better. However, if they did make it more difficult, it would destroy their business model, so it will never get any better.

Paypal is an old powerful 3rd party payment processor. It's not a scam. If you do what they ask (to confirm docs, etc.) everything will be fine. People who had problems with it - certainly made the problem THEMSELVES.

    PayPal rocks.

Well chargebacks a problem with the people you deal with, not the payment processor.

It's simply because Paypal, so far, is one of the most convenient payment processor. My clients prefer this mode of payment so I have no choice. lolz

Completely untrue. I work with several anti-scamming organizations and websites, and we see almost all the time that it's the scammers who initiate the problem. Whether they're acting as a buyer or seller, most of the time, it's not you. It's them. I've used Paypal for a while (only because that's the only processor eBay accepts), and I got scammed twice. Both times it was a chargeback. Both times I got screwed. Paypal does not care about you, they just want to get disputes solved. Unfortunately, the legit people usually get the short end of the stick.

Because it is very easy to use, accepts multiple forms of currencies, accepts all credit cards, accepts users from many countries, is the only supported payment processor of eBay..

PayPal is not so bad. You just have to deal with the right people!

The problem is as always that too many people are gullible and don't know their rights/responsibilities.

Keep your tracking code, shipping code and all else and PayPal if fair as any!

I used to have the same feeling about Paypal given the stories and all. But since I started using them last year for purchases and for sales, I've never had a problem with them.

Because there aren't really any good alternatives compared to PayPal.

PayPal sucks. AlertPay does too. AlertPay is no different than PayPal in terms of chargebacks.

    MoneyBookers is the best.
