I would add header background to that, and a nice logo too. A footer also need to added, just put @coyright yoursite.com in it
Actually, I like your website pretty much. It is pretty clean and easy for visitor to focus on what you try to show them. And you also make it pretty clear for the visitors regarding what your website can do for them. Even if you would like to add a logo later, make it small, or just leave it as current still look pretty attraction to me.
The two gray lines from left to right in the header is too long . I suggest you make the lines shorter, set a value for the margins of the lines .
yes, needs a logo, header and maybe margins at the sides. Looks like you deleted the css - too basic for me...
I like the design and usability but I doubt your site works properly. Flower News request turned with such articles as High school athletes of the week Nokia 2605 Mirage Basic Clamshell Announced for Verizon and etc. So I don't think it's an effective way to create content for different web sites. I believe we should respect our readers and provide them with useful content.
The tool looks very good, it's very useful for webmasters. And your site design is very simple... try to add a professional logo and a border around the site.
actually i liked it - and i dont think a logo is too important, everything is very clear and easy to follow - i do think you should shorten the grey lines at the top though and add a privacy policy somewhere.
Thanks everybody for the great feedback! About the header/logo - The problem then would be where can I have my h1 tag? The reason I am using plain font for the header is so I can use h1 tag (SEO). If I replace it with an image I loose the H1 tag. But I will check into that. It has a copyright in the footer The reason for that is that it displays every recent news with the word "flower" in it. As you can see, every news item had the word "flower" in it. If you type in for example a name it shuld be more accurate. Will see if I can improve it Thanks again folk
Sure you can have header and keep the H1 tag also. If you are using HTML and tables, you can add the background to the table: <TABLE BORDER="0" BACKGROUND="yourbackground.jpg"> <tr><td><h1>your site name</h1></td></tr> </TABLE> If you are using CSS, DIV: <DIV STYLE="background-image: URL(yourbackground.gif)"> <h1><a href="http://www.yoursite.com">your site name</a></h1> </DIV>
I have now added a lil background image for the header. I have also changed the font and placed "Daily updated content for your website" under "Free Content". Plus I fixed some typos. I think it looks great I dont want to make it all flashy because I believe that less is more when it comes to websites.. Espescially when it is a site for other webmasters. Lets say you searched for news for your website and found my site.. You wouldnt care wheter it has a good or bad header? The important thing is that the website gives you what you are looking for, right? But I have to agree it looks better now Also, thanks alot for the feedback... Feel free to give me alot more if needed. I also want feedback on the script. Is there anything I can do to improve it? Will webmasters appreciate this service? I have tested it for Google Chrome and Internet Explorer browsers... If you are using another browser, let me know how it looks there. Have a nice one
It looks good, I think you could use a better logo. Also maybe a different picture, the girl on your site doesn't really fit the webmaster stereotype...just a thought.
