In Craigslist, are we allowed to promote our affiliate link?

I know that we definitely do not allow direct-linking from Craigslist to our offers. Sending it to a landing page, such as a blog post, would definitely be better. Most of the stuff people try on Craigslist is just to scam people into filling out the offers, like fake job interviews, etc. It's not worth it.

For the most part Craigslist does not like businesses to advertise there, unless they are in the services section which gets very little traffic in comparison to the other sections.

I've used craigslist 1-2 a week for the last couple years with a lot of success. I've written some of the methods I use here if you want to check them out.

That's right. After i have advertise in Craigslist. I receive several spam emails. They are too easy to be recognized as spammers. Don't they realized this?.. "Very disappointed with them"

Yeah, I'd be careful with posting on CL. I've seen someone who had 250k pages indexed in Google with great traffic get banned because they continued to post on CL with links to their website. Never post to a website you care about.

Google is NOT going to ban you because you posted on Craigslist. The site you mentioned must have gotten banned for another reason.

Links on Craigslist are now all NoFollow. (this is added after you submit the html) So there is no real benefit as far as PR or the serps. The only benefit is the traffic you get if you can keep the ad from getting flagged.

This is indeed correct. Google will not banned a site just because of posting in CL.

I know CL does not allow anyone to post Affiliate Links on their website directly. But you can advertise your website there and have the offer links on your website.

Do whatever you want on CL just don't get caught. Cover your tracks, blank the source of your traffic etc.
