Why in the world was my site rejected?

So I just now decided I wanted to learn how to build websites..It took me over a month and a half to put together a website on my own. I finished it and decided to apply for adsense...

I just read my email saying that I wasn't approved.. :eek:I thought for sure they would approve the site..

Here's my site, PLEASE let me know if you have ANY idea why they disapproved my site..

    www.greedycrab.com

    Thanks guys..

Very strange, your website seems to me OK. Try to contact google adsense and ask why they did it. Alternatively you can open a blogspot blog, post 10 articles and than apply for adsense for this blog. When you are approved, use your account for your greedycrab website. ;)

I would suspect that they would like to see the site mature first, i.e. start receiving traffic and backlinks but that is just conjecture.

As the economy recedes, it is possible that Google is getting tighter in their policies regarding new accounts to help manage their own costs. Although slight, there probably is a cost involved with every new account, especially if they don't see an immediate possibility of the ads being clicked on.

Good post. I don't quite understand why they'd refuse this site, as they are happy to pass their program onto Blogger users with just a few posts. They must be getting stricter with the current goings on with the economy. The economy slump is noticeable with individual click earnings at the moment.

I think it's because of the domain contains the word "greedy" hehee.. but I'm not sure of it. What happened to you is just weird. My friend with a blogspot blog that has only 1 post was approved after applying for an Adsense account. :)

or maybe you have applied and the name that you used in your application was a complete name of a person that was banned before in Adsense. :(

If you read their TOS correct, they do not encourage people/webmaster to use the terms "sponsors", rather than using that word, use "Advertisement" instead.
Don't forget to create TOS and Privacy page on your site too.

You site doesn't seem to have much content in terms of text. The sponsor sections also suggest possible places for bought links to be placed.

I would contact and ask goog. You can usually apply again the next day...my buddy did that, opened a blogger site and was approved the next day

    1. Your blog has good contents in it. Are they original?
    2. Your domain name has the word "greedy"
    3. At the footer of your site shows "Sponsor/Ad Space"

I was approved for my forum site after only a couple posts on it. I think the others are right about the sponsors section. Clean up the site a bit and reapply.
