"I made $xxxxx with those tips", sounds very nice uh? Something that would make people click the link to find the tips (but everything you find is a long page full of keywords and somebody treying to sell a book) that and spam, i dont see much difference ;).

You have given the NO:-1 position for "Giving up the niche". You are correct. Most of the bloggers of make money online have been frustrated after getting no money from their blogs. Slow and steady wins the race- This should be kept in mind.

Well on the other side, its not really easy to hang on, when you see people making posts about how they are making $1000's of dollars from their blogs etc and whereas you are stuck with 0.01 clicks in your adsense account. Its true they must have achieved this by working very hard but still everyone will want more and fast, its in human nature.

I agree somewhat. What happens if a person is doing it all wrong and they think all they have to do is keep pumping and eventually things will work out. They need to be persistent, but make the necessary adjustments to succeed. For example, newbies using adwords may put all their keywords in one adgroup and usually fail. They can't keep pumping this adgroup to success without adjustments.

following the 80/20 principle saying that you get 80 percent of your success from 20 percent pf ypur efforts goes the opposite at the begining. So you need to put 80 percent of your efforts into 20 percent of your success then it soon switches.

I think the biggie is as Xavier 3D mentioned - people start with maybe adsense on blogs, then switch to affiliate marketing, maybe then niche websites, then jump onto whatever the next big thing is. Consequently they don't finish anything, don't make any $$ and become disillusioned.

The biggest mistake is that people give up to easy, and another big mistake is that people try to do too many things at once. You must concentrate on one thing at a time, for instance promoting only 1 affiliate program. When you get it to generate cash, then you can move on to the next one. Trying to get too much too soon just will not work.

You're right. It's better to focus on a couple of things you're good at rather than trying to do everything at once. It's about being more efficient in your approach.

The example you talk about with affiliate promotion, however, is only a suitable method when you're just starting off. Of course when you're a newbie, you should focus on promoting one product as an affiliate, because you're still testing and learning from application and you don't want to bite off more you can chew.

But when you become more comfortable at this, you should start promoting a few more niches at the same time, around 4-5. It's the portfolio of the promotions you have that adds up to make you real substantial income.

    Thanks for your post,

I really like the Analogy with the Waterpump, also heard an other analogy
(Apart from 'uncontrolled Oilwells') I also like the analogy with 'Oil fields',
'Oil Wells' and 'Oil Pumps'. That's why I call my Blogspots,
    'Money Pumping Blogspots'.

And since most of them are just dripping,
feel free to buy lots of expencive products
from them and make them Gushing :)

I think that to really make something 'Gushing' you also
need to provide some sort of service that's valuable for people.
Something I aim to do with my Blogspots, so I am alway's
looking for new way's to be able to create more value.

    All the Best,
To your Happy - Internet Marketing - Inspiration,

If ever that you are about to give up, just remember why you held on for so long. Never give up. all of us were newbies, and we all experience some struggles when we were starting out. Piece of advice though, whatever you do online, focus yourself on list building. i mean, whatever you do online, you should build your mailing list. Because if you have a large customer base and you are providing helpful contents and were able to build good relationship, I don't see that you will fail online. Again, whatever you do online, focus on list building. If you're doing article marketing, social bookmarking, blogging, selling ebooks to forums, PPC, video marketing etc.. you should build your list by doing all those things. Once you have more than a thousand list, I'm sure you will not regret doing it.

I see your point but this is what culls out the entrepreneurs from the trading dollars for hours I can build a website get rich quick mentality.
There is also a difference between working hard and working smart. Sometimes thinking outside of the box and doing it a bit different from other people can make a big difference yes persistence can help a lot. Human nature indicates that most people will follow or do what other people do and this is not the mindset of an entrepreneur.

Nice post, i agree with you, a lot of people are not too committed to anything that requires some bit of effort. Most of those people who come online in search of greener pasture often think, they can start making tons of money without any skills or taking action.
