As we all knew USA faces a big crisis. If they cant solve it, I just wanted to ask if Who will be the next Big country? I think its China, They have the most populated country in the world..And every country i knew has a so called "China Town".. whats yours?
China's largest buyer of goods is the United States of America, if we don't buy their goods they can't become the next big country. I think our economy will recover in the second half of next year.
the US isn't going anywhere.. once we realize our economic system is nothing but a crock we'll be a lot better off http://wideeyecinema.com/?p=112
Yup, I hope that will happen soon, coz a lot of country's around the world is affected by the crisis.
POPULOUS is not PROSPEROUS. This is the number 1 reason I think neither India nor China will ever be the dominant power in the world. Russia has a better shot than those two. I agree the sooner the US drops its current centrally-planned banking system, the sooner the US can return to long-term prosperity.
I guess none of you have heard of business cycles before. Periods of recession in the US are followed by even longer positions of prosperity. During the next phase of prosperity, American hegemony will be established on an even greater order. Before long, every son of a bitch on this planet will be eating Big Macs and following Britney Spears.
^ welcome to reality buddy, this economic system is doomed for ever since its introduction to the Americans. Look at history, how Americans opposed these greedy bankers from spreading their filth in America, but they got their way. and wake up buddy, America is dying... a sure death! This aint no "rebound" economy, unless they go with their plans of introducing a new currency and making North America one, then we will see what America is...
The answer is = > BRIC : Brazil Russia India China http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BRIC Lexiseek, its a 50/50, its either a growth or collapse. I hope it will be the 1st one. p.s: haha, I didnt know that these 4 are in the top 5 by "Countries by number of mobile phones"
Talk about an escape from reality, M5... LOL. Thanks for the obit, but we arent going anywhere junior. Crawl back under your rock and enjoy your little third world wet-dream.
I think simply due to sheer people power, China stands to be powerful in the future. However, energy in the future will not be dictated by oil and it may be those who harness other power sources best that stand to become energy superpowers of the future
USA Crisis = World Crisis. USA is still the predominant economical and military super power. China, India etc will still have a long way to catch up with the USA.
We have awhile yet before the US falls (every empire does at some point, but I doubt it will be due to the current crisis). However, once it does, I don't think that China will be the next leading superpower...they will fall with us when we eventually do go down, especially now that more property and US investments are being purchased by the Chinese. They are linked with us, and they have their own crisis to deal with. Russia is a possibility if they can get their act together. Military power doesn't equal much when you are always switching policy and you are stuck in a constant cycle of reform. India is a possibility if they continue to improve on an economic front, but numbers doesn't always equal power.
China has it's own problems of huge population that got insulated from massive wealth that this country has amassed over three decades and is largely deprived/unemployed and this unrest will create problems in time to come, also with the speed with which they are destroying ecology in the name of GDP growth, they will be paying huge price in future.........also U.S. will try everything in it's power to stop china from claiming Next Big Bang(Country)
The Chinese can't even produce milk right. The Russians and Brazil? LOL. Damn, people here need to get a clue, and quick. I understand you hate the United States, and I don't blame you. Sitting in poverty in your third world hovels, your lack of opportunity makes you need an enemy. Of course the richest and most powerful country would be the natural choice. But you'd have to be a real fucking idiot to think Russia or China has somehow passed the USA as a "SuperPower" because people can't get car loans for a few months. And I know DP doesn't allow total fucking idiots to post here
For the past 20 years these "emerging" markets have received tons of credit because the lenders were giving it to anyone with a pulse. This cheap money was extending to every corner of the globe because it needed somewhere to go. The BRIC and other emerging market economies are screwed and we have seen evidence of it over the past year. Want to know what separates us "superpowers" from the third world rubble? We have very good laws in place (property rights) and a good judicial system. People know in the US that the government will not just take your property. This encourages investment. This is why you are seeing capital fleeing into US treasuries and out of the emerging markets. Russia can't even keep up with its diminishing FX reserves. Emerging markets and economies are nothing more than subprime borrowers on a national level.
Ding ding ding! We have a winner. Moderator, please sticky this thread because this guy just took the third worlders to school and they need the education.
*yawn*... this is way too early. America isn't going to be a 3rd world country anytime soon. Also, to those who say the system is doomed.. I think you're sadly mistaken. There is no real evidence that would show that it has or will fail at this point. Capitalism has shown itself as a viable economic system. It's not perfect, it is just better than anything else as history has shown.
Naah, I don't see us starting a bunch of "The US is Superior to All Others" threads... so we arent the "flag-wavers". We just run interference with knee-jerk anti-American little pukes like you that constantly feel the need to spit on it.
You have heard of eminent domain, drug forefeiture laws, RICO, the IRS, and the Patriot Act. The US isn't going down but not for the reasons you're giving.
